The most likely blocks would have been the blocks that City use for away fans in Level 1 but they already have City fans in them (our singing section is in them). They are blocks 113 and 114.

In the Champions League games, away fans often get a block of what they call premium seats which is on Level 2 above the half-way line. The problem would be that the game has been onsale for home fans for some time.

The sales which you have posted don't seem to square with the tickets allocated to Vale so I think you might find that Vale audit their remaining seats and then put the remaining seats on sale.

The top picture is the overall picture for City at the moment, and the image below is the seats of one block (114) in the away end, and you can see that it's nearly sold out.

I doubt City regard this as a high-risk game so if they can accommodate more Vale fans, I am sure they will try but I don't think there are any big blocks of spare seats. I'm sure it will become clear over 48 hours.

ha ha, if you think there will be no trouble at this game, then I'm afraid your extremely naive, too many dickheads about, there maybe one or two Vale fans in the home end, good luck to them when it kicks off.

Stoke have a reputation. Never heard that about Port Vale. This is their big day, I seriously doubt their fans will be out looking for trouble whilst at City there will be a lot of young supporters going to their first game. Last thing we need are a few City dickheads looking to spot the odd Vale fan in the home ends.

Completely agree, as a Vale fan I can say that there will be knowone looking for trouble travelling from Burslem. With tickets sold out to season ticket holders only and not made general sale there are a number of fans looking at purchasing tickets in a certain block as to stick together in a "mini away end" all wanting to see there club on the big stage. As I've said before we are treating this as our cup final and a celebration of where we as a club are considering we could of gone out of business towards the end of last season...

That's the absolute recipe for trouble, a big bunch of away fans in the home end giving it large.

The recipe for no trouble is telling people on city's forum that a big group of port vale fans will be going in an home section, GMC will be on it in no time. Anyway this is Port Vale were talking about a club with the clout of say Oldham and not anywhere as big as Bolton. In other words stop bigging yourselves up, you got more than enough tickets, unless your fetching Stoke with you.

Taking my young lad to his first game at ETIHAD, last thing I need is a bunch of dicks causing trouble in among home fans.

If they want 10K, let them have them. I’m sure the upper tier could be used.

City have been selling tickets in every block of the home areas so it’s too late to give Vale any more tickets. In any case, 8k is a good allocation and we’ll sell all ours so no need to give them more tickets

Lets hope our ticket office are on the ball selling then, its not like they're from Belarus they from Burslem and it'll be easy to get tickets if it goes to general sale.

I am going with a Port Vale fan of long standing. I have got him a ticket in our end.

I would advise any Vale fans who are contemplating going in the City end to just blend in with the locals and keep quiet about it. Last thing we want is a set to.

In the CHampions League games, away fans have bought tickets and then found that they have been canceled so be careful. City fans are used now to away fans sitting amongst us after loads of CL games. It's quite common for Italian, Spanish, germans etc who are based over here to sit in the home ends rather than go through their own club. I don't mind at all sitting next to away fans as long as they are respectful. I've done it at away games. Best thing though is not to make your support known. There are always some people who take offence even if none is meant. Stewards will be on the look out for away fans in our end too. It's best to keep this sort of thing to yourself, and go there with the intention of watching the game and keeping quiet.

Is there any word on Port Vale getting more tickets. I read this morning that Vale were in contact with City about that?

I found out today that on our ticket web-site of you click on the drop-down box you can find out how many tickets are left in each block. I counted them up 8490. That means that between City and Vale we have together sold 46000 tickets. It's probably an over-estimate as there's probably some blocks with a lot of seats in them which the Ticket office haven't put on sale, but it's a guide.

Thanks for your comments about Port Vale. Nearer the time give us an update on your side. Do you have any quick forwards? It would also be nice afterwards to read about what your fans think of the Etihad, Manchester, City fans etc.

If you want an idea about the ground and City fans, a good place to look is Ian Cheeseman's match-day vlogs . That one is the one for City 7-2 Stoke. It's not got any match action but it has interviews with fans etc.

Good luck with that! At a guess, I’d say no more than a few hundred may get into the home areas. If they’re dotted about, it might not be too much of an issue
Yes if you're reading Port Vale fans. Do not buy together. That is a sure-fire way of getting ID'd and thrown out. Best to go anonymously.

There’s no way anyone gets these neutral mini away ends at our place.

Ive heard Everton and Liverpool say the same thing and it’s not been backed up.

City do dish tickets out to agencies and tour companies but they’re one/two seats dotted about here and there, and that’s it.

It happens in the CL but we have to give tickets to UEFA for that and UEFA tend to give them to fans of the opposition. However this never ends well and it’s either seen with mild abuse aimed at the away fans and the stewards kicking them out, to fights with some who’ve come and the stewards kicking them out.

They wont. By the time Vale sold out, the vast majority of seats had been sold to City so all they can do is sprinkle themselves in, and I reckon they are just intent on enjoying the game like yourself.

It's Man City v Port Vale, not Stoke v Port Vale or City v Utd. They'll be traveling up with half and half scarves, buying souvenirs in their shops, bringing inflatables etc intent on a party. I hope!

It's more or less a local Derby. Stoke on Trent I think is the next stop on the train after Macclesfield? Neighbouring county to Cheshire?

Just managed to get mine, my lad and 2 grand kids as well plus Kids zone before. Will be a great day as it’s their first home game for them all. I’m sure my wallet will be taking a beating in the club shop but it will be worth it.

Looks like a little bit of good news for Port Vale fans from their CEO:

"We have a very small allocation that we have in reserve from Manchester City and we are just looking at how we can best utilise those tickets to really make sure that, if there is a real genuine Vale supporter out there that may have missed out on getting a ticket so far, is there is an opportunity with these tickets to maybe try to satisfy that? That is what we are looking at."

Three new City fans! Love it.

Unbelievably there is a tool called Naz who is a City fan drawing them a diagram of the ground for the best way to get tickets? What a cock!
