FA Cup R3 | Salford City (H) | Sat 11 Jan 1745

skint people and kids could jib in at Maine Road and aways......doubling up etc

Gone are those days.....many of the FOC's going today started that way.

Train fares? jump the train.........following City could be cheap and lucrative ;)

Exactly what I do! Every year I keep my fingers crossed for a home tie against lower league opposition. The league games are too expensive for me nowadays with a young family but for this one all 4 of us are going for £45.
Always use these games for a couple of £30 seats in 93;20. Missing this one though because we are at the West Ham game the week before.Plus the 11th is my birthday so other stuff planned.

I have a season ticket and yes £70 is pricey but if i couldn't afford it i wouldn't go and watch it on tv.
That's the whole point regular & longstanding fans have been priced out .£70 plus on boxing day .do me a favour .What joker came up with that price
So the clubs attitude is if you can't afford to take your kids to a Premiership game at Christmas.Take them to this one instead as the tick tock brigade and many corporate hospitality goers don't want to go. You can't have the cake but you can have the crumbs
I realise City need to get a return on there investment but there are better ways to do it instead of screwing fans left right and center
I would love to go with the family on boxing day v Everton but simply won't pay them prices and will watch it on TV with a minced pie in one hand and a glass of mulled wine in the other
Come on City

If you're taking kids does it matter if its a Premier League game or a cheap as chips cup game ? Watching football hasn't been cheap for 20 odd years, that"s why if you have a season ticket you don't give it up !

I think it does it matter a bit. You want the opportunity to go to the big games, say United or Madrid with your kids. Otherwise you’re saying you can go to games, but only against league 2 opposition in the cup. It’s not an away game either, where there’s limited tickets and you have to accept that.

If league games were affordable this wouldn’t be an issue as you’d have a choice. Football hasn’t always been cheap, but it was much more affordable going back - you can see that in how the crowd has changed so much.
