FA Cup R3 | Salford City (H) | Sat 11 Jan 1745

This has disaster written all over it. 5k allocation for a shit club averaging 2k a game.

Every non/ lower league club in the country who gets a big cup game, attract thousands of locals, who probably support a big team but have a soft spot for their local team and will turn out for the occasion.

I can’t think of many occasions where it’s led to disaster.

I think people really need to stop worrying that thousands of MIB are going to be turning up, turning the area into a war zone.

It’ll be a friendly, family day out, with thousands more kids there than you get for a regular game.

This fixture's proving a tough sell, even at £5 for kids. The club will have to give thousands away if they don't want a half empty stadium at this rate.
Maybe so but if the scaremongers cut back their “world is nigh” efforts, a few more Blues might snap up tickets.

I will be there but I don’t think a load from the Supporters Club I run will be. With the value goods made available this season families can get tickets for the Derby so Salford st home isn’t that much of a draw.

Bollocks. This is probably the only chance that many local mancs will be able to afford to watch City. Great chance to bring kids at those prices. It will sell.

Thousands of MIB lol. You're right, cant see much happening outside the regular games we get against the likes of Wigan.

They should get it on to general sale, as of right now its still behind a membership wall.

So if you wanted to go to your first game of the season, you'd still have to fork up £35 for the membership.

This could be putting a lot of people off

I've bought tickets and think it's reasonably priced. Still thousands available at the moment though.

Good point, general sale might help shift a few.

Members can buy an extra 3 tickets as well as their own for non members as I did earlier

We play Brentford away on the Tuesday night after this so it will be a team of fringe players (if we have any) and academy kids
