Yes all ties on TV ... but I don’t understand why the draw couldn’t be done today for instance or even tomorrow after Spurs game ... how did any arrangement for any fixture was sorted before this round was played anyway ... I mean look at our ties, four teams had to play to know which two would play next round so knowing this vs this will play that vs that didn’t really help anyone ...

I have a feeling after this next tie against Swnsea we’d see two draws at once again so QF and SF done together - just like they do in CL these days.

A draw now after knowing who’s out and who’s left (or at least after most of ties have been played) would have been more exciting than knowing most of draws beforehand ...
I think the double draw was a Covid thing. For what is a 10 minute (if that) programme and having all the presenters, cameraman, make up, sound engineers, lighting people etc etc all checked out and then 3 weeks later do it all again for what would be a 5 minute programme just wasn't worth the effort.

You wish they were that clever about covid ... this is the reason they actually gave:

There will be a double draw in the Emirates FA Cup, with both the fourth and fifth round proper draws being made on Monday 11 January. Hosted by Reshmin Chowdhury and conducted by Peter Crouch, both draws will be made back-to-back to aid with fixture scheduling and will form part of BT Sport 1’s pre-match coverage of the third round tie between Stockport County and West Ham United as well as on the official Emirates FA Cup YouTube channel.

How does it aid fixture scheduling? Just means we knew we'd be at Swansea 48 hours earlier.

That's what I questioned at first ... it just ruined the whole round ... imagine if the draw was still to take place ... every other team (including us) would have been interested in the other ties, e.g. the rags v scouse game as we could potentially draw the winner of that one ... but now given how this was done, no one other than perhaps west ham was interested ... in another scenario where west ham are doing well this season so ok, but what if they were say struggling down the bottom in relegation places, them knowing their round 5 opponents (liverpool or united), they might as well have sacked off even the previous round and played kids then just to focus on the league ... so just don't see the logic in this double draw ... same as Champions League guys do it (ok their doing a draw is another level, getting everyone to Switzerland etc, but now with covid if all is just on video calls even they can just do it one round at a time.

Not to be side tracked by CL and back to FA Cup ... watch them now still not being able to decide fixtures even after all these ties are played (one tonight, another tomorrow) and mark my words or save this post ... we'd be all here later in the week still asking each other if anyone has any idea when they'd actually schedule the fixtures for next round!

You mean you would trust UEFA to do the CL draw fairly via Zoom?????

You are Michel Platini and I claim my large brown envelope at a motorway service station
Presumably the same service station Rui Pinto was arrested at collecting a ransom payment from lawyers representing Sporting Club of Portugal. Never mind as the Guardian keeps telling us he's really an honest whistleblower.

5th Round Draw:

Swansea vs Manchester City

Man Utd vs West Ham

Everton vs Tottenham

Leicester vs Brighton

Barnsley vs Chelsea

Wolves vs Southampton

Sheff Utd vs Bristol City

Burnley vs Bournemouth or Crawley
Updated after Tottenham's win.
