FA Cup re-jig?

Guaranteed champions league slot? Absolutely no chance of that happening and neither should there be. When Wigan won it they beat: Bournemouth, Macclesfield, Huddersfield, Everton and Millwall before they beat us. Relegated and Champions league for winning 6 games?
In the same year, we beat Watford(h), Stoke(a), Leeds(h), Barnsley(h) and Chelsea. (And we never get favourable draws in the cup!)
There are countless examples of poor teams getting to the cup final and giving them a CL place would be a nonsense.
I'd rather a team actually winning something got a place in CHAMPIONS League than a perennial 4th placed team.

Can't see what harm it does the competition actually having a bit of a change up every now and again. The mid table Prem sides would have a great shout at the CL and would go balls deep for it.

Best course of action in my opinion.

Also read two articles today saying the FA are going to discuss it.

Teams in the top four have won more than the bottom sixteen. One has won the title and all of them have won more points. That should be the only criterion for allocating CL places. Uefa have already put the Europa League winners in, regardless of where they finish in the league! No need to tinker.

If you post this five times a day for the next three weeks some fans still won't believe you. And in most cases they'll be too fucking stupid to have a look at uefa.com to confirm you are correct.
Not only that but UEFA will not now allow the runners up to go into the EL if the winners have qualified for the CL or El through league position.

You say that, but given the PL lack of success in Europe recently, what if we were down to three places? Two via the league and one through FA cup? A couple of years of Wigan wins and, within a few years, England might have only 1 place. Who gets that, league winners or cup winners?

Transfer one of the CL places to the FA Cup and the Rags target will only be that every season, which coincidentally maybe why it's been muted.

If they give a champs league place to fa cup winners and we have a few flukes say reading won it this season, they would be knocked straight out our coefficient could mean only 2 teams guaranteed in champs league, and 1 through the fa cup could turn out to be bad for us.

England should only have one place, as should all countries. The problem isn't our competitions it's Eufa abandoning the old european cup competitions to create cash cows to appease the G14 shower of twats. As that won't change then those in europe should stop crying about the FA Cup and think of the 100's of other clubs that the competition is for not just the elite teams.
