FA Cup Semi-Final | City v Chelsea pre-match thread

Chelsea are a bit like ManU in that you just don't know which team is likely to turn up - awful in some games but impressive in others. They did play well against us at the Etihad a few weeks ago, so not to be taken lightly. If we were to play close to full strength, I have no doubt we would win, but with the likely 5 or 6 changes, it is far less predictable. Come on, Pep, go fairly strong and let's get that Double, which would make it a fantastic season.
The rags impressive....

My aunts bollocks !!

Possibly mate but too much rotation and another loss in a week would be a huge blow?
It would but the league comes first and playing people with fatigue, especially KDB, could damage them for the rest of the season. It’s a tough balance.

I’d personally go -

Ortega

Walker
Stones
Dias
Ake/Gvardiol

Lewis
Kovacic

Grealish
Foden
Bobb

Alvarez

Plenty of rotation and still a good team. Could see Pep putting Lewis where I have Walker and Nunes where I have Lewis

Edit sorry forgot Doku

If this goes to pens, watch Bernardo and Kova on pens, and both scoring.

This is one of the worst possible games we could have had after Wednesday. People need to brace themselves for the worst I'm afraid.

I agree. Chelsea are well rested and on a high after the 6-0 against Everton. We've done 120 tough, tough minutes and lost. I feel if we would have won the euphoria would have carried us through on Saturday. It could have been worse it could have been the rags we were playing, even they would probably have a chance against us on Saturday. Due to our failure to keep clean sheets most games we also have to score at least two to win a game. Don't even start me on penalties if it t goes there we're definitely fucked.

Depends what you mean by well rested?

Looking at them all acting like kids against Everton they may have a had a week of hard clubbing before kick off.

Why all the negativity? I remember City thrashing Chelsea 6-0 not too long ago. I fancy a similar outcome with our youngsters stealing the show. A Bobb hattrick perhaps.
