Remember them playing in that brown kit at Maine RdWas a far nicer kit than the brown version Coventry had round that time
Great post John. What a great problem to have. When we become less of a footballing powerhouse we’ll look back jealously at the days of trying to sandwich FA semis between European Cup QFs and Premier League title run-ins.
Savour these days; embrace the “issues” ‘cos when they’re gone....they’re gone.
Coventry play Tuesday for the rearranged fixture vs Hull so unless they move that, we will most probably play SundayWhen do we reckon it will be played? I think Saturday. Sunday will have the highest viewing so nailed on rags. Hope it is Saturday as Sunday we will be in Manchester.
When will we know the TV choice?
i loved it then - it looks even better now. Bit like the brown St Pauli kitTruly awful.
It’s just a thought but maybe it’s because if it’s the Sunday game, then public transport isn’t as easy and many have work on Monday morning and want to be back at a sensible hour having started drinking early doors.Absolutely bizarre that people want a 2pm kick off. Who wants to get up at the crack of dawn and battle their way to London and have fuck all time for any fun pre match.
430 or 530 is ideal, bit of a lie in, nice breakfast, get to London about lunchtime, plenty of chance to get a few beers in or whatever you like doing
Peter Bodak chipping Corrigan for their third. It was ‘82.
I was convinced we were going back to Wembley that year. Mainly due to my dad assuring me that we’d be back to win it next time like we did in ‘56.
I naively thought he meant the following year and not in 30 years time.
