FA Cup Semi Final draw - Brighton

I think most city fans are thinking we are gonna win easily so with all the expense of it all will save the money for the final. If we had been playing better opponents no disrespect to Brighton it would have sold out.
It shouldn't matter, it's an FA Cup semi-final involving Manchester City, it's embarrassing.

I'm not going,i'm not remotely embarrassed as i doubt many others are either.

Irrespective of any other reason for none attendance,SF's should not be at Wembley - because that is genuinely embarrassing.
I am not embarrassed I am not going I am sad, it's all down to cost, yes 10 years ago I would of gone, we/i are very lucky to be able to say no and save money for another game/games.
Ps I have 4 tickets to buy and travel.

No getting away from it, this will be embarrassing, Pompey and Sunderland sell out a Check a Trade trophy and we can't sell out a semi-final. In one sense I do get it, ticket prices are high, the time is the worst you could get, making it very difficult for fans to get home, BUT, I'm still amazed at the apathy for a Wembley trip and that the extended fan base can't pick up the slack getting the chance to go to a Wembley trip that ordinarily they might not have the points for. Slightly hypocritical in that I myself am not going, similar to SiMCFC I have two kids one just over two and the other 11 months and a wife that has given me loads of slack attending games this season, and yes, I'm hedging my bets for the Champs League and FA Cup Final & trying not to take the p*ss.

That said, its absolutely killing me that I won't be there, and given we get 55k for every home game I don't believe for a second that that there aren't plenty of fans out there who could go but simply can't be arsed.

No players more than our own deserve the backing of our fans and it will be tragic if they're only supported by 20k fans, it sends out completely the wrong message to potential players out there that we might want, debating which club to join, about our club and the passion of its fans. If there is no barrier to you attending you should be there, end of.
I take it you don't do irony?

It isn't embarrassing, it isn't shocking, it isn't a slight on our team. It's the basic facts that we as a fan base are not loaded, have had to shell out a fortune already this year with three trips already to Wembley, have had an away trip Fulham last week and two more London trips in the next ten days where the kick off times aren't as mad and ticket prices aren't as costly. Everyone is also assuming we will beat Brighton, which by the way isn't a guarantee, and that will mean another trip to Wembley with a stupid kick off time and stupid prices. I know plenty of people not going and for the majority it is 100% down to the cost and the time spent away from the wife and kids. Maybe if the spin was City are taking 20,000+ to an away day people would think differently.

They can't do that though as they have already set their stall out with priority for cup scheme members and those with most loyalty points.

I am going to the game but I moved down to the Thames Valley in 1990 so games at Wembley are usually as convenient as it gets, aside from playing Reading or Oxford.

I'm not surprised that a lot of people just cannot afford the time or money to travel down although I would have hoped that there would be enough Blues who are not regulars at the Etihad that would want a chance to go to Wembley to take up a good portion of the slack. I bought a couple of additional tickets on behalf of Blues who live in the South and don't often get the chance to go to games.

They could do priority to semi-final ticket holders easily, when each point category goes on sale they have a window before for correct points and semi-final tickets it isn't hard.

Nor should you not everyone is able afford it, even if you can afford it and choose not to go again nothing to be embarrassed about. I only decided Friday to go, 3 of us, got the £30 seats and cheapest hotel i could find. I have been undecided since we beat Swansea but decided to go as you never know whats around the corner.
