FA Cup Semi Final draw - Brighton

That's a big difference 30k or 25K

Only seems to be DD making this point but, if correct, that would agree with reports of us sending tickets back.

No point in counting how many left to sell if we have returned a load.

Even if it's 25,000 blues we will make a racket.

By my reckoning it was only 5 blocks that didn't go on sale - 522-526 - so probably around 4000-4500 tickets. I don't understand this story about 2000 expensive extra tickets being returned as the Club Wembley blocks are still available for sale, unless it was on the opposite side and they were offered to us in the event of us selling out. I'd guess out of an initial allocation of 33495 tickets that we've sold around 28,000+ and with tickets still shifting today we should have about 29k in the ground tomorrow. That should be plenty enough to compete with what I'd expect to be a noisy Brighton following

Nah it was more he was Platinum

Raheem didn't buy the tickets, he was given the tickets free by city so that as a publicity stunt all round it would look good. Meanwhile city get more young fans on board, nice of marketing to come up with the idea.

City tried to hand back tickets to Wembley, they didn't want them back as empty seats don't buy beer and chicken nuggets. Wembley will have given the tickets to city free or for a pound, knock on effect is there are loads of free tickets flying about.

if you think the club feels daft not selling an allocation, how daft do the FA look. Wembley trips don't have the same demand anymore unless it is a club that hasn't been to Wembley for 35 years. Even Chelsea struggle selling out and its a tube journey !

The semi finals are beginning to be a total washout and have gone to far, as for the charity shield ! So the issue is far worse for Wembley / FA than it is for the clubs who don't sell.

Its a clear message, Wembley doesn't have that same draw for attention. Champions league has taken over !

To many choices.

I looked much earlier in the week and there were blocks near the halfway line on the upper tier unavailable, whereas the block right next to them was only half filled. I didn't count the blocks but there were more at the bottom of the map than at the top. That to me said that they've never been on sale. It would also be logical to sell those blocks last because it saves on stewarding costs. It's cheaper to staff/steward 10 full blocks and 5 empty ones than 15 three quarters full.

On not selling all of our allocation:

Where are all the glory-hunters / johnny-come-latelys when you need them? This should be their moment, surely.

I don't think the FA are particularly arsed aslong as they make the cash to be honest, sad but true.
