FA Cup Semi Final draw - Brighton

Totally agree about the ticket prices, but there are loads of cheap tickets left, that suggests lack of demand rather than cost. The club should stimulate sales by offering a deal with either Cardiff tickets or the champions League tickets . The club can send a million surveys yet never seen to understand our fanbase, these sales show that nationally our fan base has barely grown, and no one is taking up the slack

Agree. It’s lack of demand on the whole. £30 seats were and are still available for everyone.

The lack of take up from Non ST holders should be a concern from the club. We may have 1 million twitter followers or whatever but few of them are interested in going.

Just been on the website and did a sample of 3 block, upper, lower and behind the goal. Hundreds left in each block I looked in randomly so no way it will sell out.

Agreed, I really don't think this one is on the club to subsidise. Yeah it would be a good gesture if they did but the prices are FA greed and FA greed alone.

Said it before and I will say it again the ticket prices are way too expensive. Odd how the premier league clubs agree a cap on away tickets yet as soon as the semi finals and finals come along with the FA involved that goes out of the window. There is so much money involved in football that to reduce the cost of all these tickets by 50% is a drop in the ocean.
£30 is to much for a semi final?

Forget the fact it is a semi. Premier league clubs have a £30 cap on away tickets. For a semi both teams are effectively an away team. It's worse for us than for Brighton as this is our 15th visit since 2011, it's their first in over 30 years I think plus we have further to travel and we have trips to London tomorrow and two more in a week after the semi. Rich owners doesn't equal rich fans. In any case where are all the corporates who are always so desperate for tickets when it's the derby or Liverpool. Don't they fancy a long trip to Wembley. The FA need to realise that nobody wants a trip to Wembley for a semi and even less so at stupid prices when you have to factor in transport etc.

I think the club do a much better job with their own schemes. For example the League and FA Cup scheme should be a £50 fixed price. This includes all tickets for home games, and Semi and Final tickets if we get there.

I imagine the demand of something like this would be very high.

And if we get knocked out in the first round away from home in both? Ridiculous idea.

City have no control over the prices that the FA or the EFL set for tickets to Wembley.

If we had never been to Wembley before nobody would be saying they're too high.

If we really wanted to sell more, we would say those that bought a ticket to the semi get preference over those that didn't, as there is clearly a few thousand that are "waiting until the final" when we might not get there.

Basically it’s an apathetic fan base , fully understand if it’s a question of finance , fully understand if fans are going to be going to practically every game between now and the end of the season , but in truth those going home and away week in and out is probably a group of four or five thousand . What I don’t get is the people whose only away games are trips to Wembley . Probably the same ones who call Utd and lpool fans for being out of towners or plastics . We are watching the greatest ever City team , world class players , one of the greatest managers of all time .
A sense of self entitlement has descended on a large part of our fan base in this relatively short period of success.

Fuck me, we don't half like giving ourselves a hard time don't we? Forensically checking blocks, counting unsold seats & hand wringing over our attendance plays into our haters hands. They'll be all over this thread salivating over OUR angst at a few empties in a soulless bowl in the arsehole of London. Salford Quays will be shaking like a shitting dog prepping the next article demonising our club and its supporters.

Some are going to the semi, some aren't. Get over it.

You’re right , we just hand our enemies the bullets to shoot us with. Personally if we sell 25,000 I know they’ll largely be working classfans from the north of England & i’m Happy with that, be careful what you wish for because if we become like Utd or Liverpool those tickets would be in the hands of supporters clubs around the world, not Salford or Liverpool .

To me it’s a simple case of money, and yes there will be different reasons for people not going and and although I’ve bought a ticket if you add on the travel, few beers then champions league and it’s an expensive time. Plus late finish on a Saturday night live on tv, we have just been for the Caibo cup, and a possible final, if I’m honest I hesitated.

Well I'm coming from Reading so only an hour or so travelling on Sat - compared with the 5 hour trip to / 4 hour trip back for the Cardiff game & < 4 hours sleep before work on the thursday - but hey ho seems I'm not a proper supporter...

I hope we sell as many tickets as possible, accepting that fans have financial and other constraints. That's not because of what other fans might think. Even if both clubs sell out there will be thousands of empty seats because there will be very few neutrals present.

For me its about getting as many fans there as possible to support the team. A crowd of say 65,000, with a much larger contingent of Brighton fans, will create quite a strange atmosphere. Which would slightly improve the chances of a shock result.
