Looking at the Cup Final winning team against the rags. Consisted of players like McCalliog, Channon, and Osgood. Not forgetting Stokes. Pretty decent side.

Saints 5/1 outsiders filled me boots then great night in Jillys later celebrating we won the League cup couple month's before also.50 years ago unbelievable.

For me,we’ve been favourites too many times at Wembley and fuckdd it up including last two finals and the mega one v wigan

Used to love Jillys, however I ddint start going in there until around 82, i was only 16/17 and so usually got in early when it was empty and left around 11 to get home for 12. I soon started staying out longer though and heard so much new music in there. Loved headbanging, I just felt at home and with the combination of City, a pub crawl around town, usually starting off in Rosies Bar and ending up in Jillys it was the perfect combination for the weekend.

I expect that when Leeds sell out their full allocation, we’ll get the usual grief about our lack of sales etc.

Another semi at Wembley is simply not that big a draw for us nowadays, not against Southampton, no offence, it's the FA cup, of we win we get another game, more of a chore than a joy. Just another game.

It's a cup semi final in the worlds oldest cup competition.
Some of us still see it as a big game, and worth making the effort to get there.
These times won't last forever so make the most of it.
I Know it's not easy financially, due to the number of times we've been there in recent years.
The team deserves our support, so if you can, get your arses down there.

Southampton are a good side and on the crest of a wave, we will have to be on it from the start.
Hope we take a good following.
With the league situation, playing Burnley on Weds, it will City reserves v Southampton, with our end 1/3 empty - all leads to struggling massively but giving some useful big match experience to some of the EDS lads.... going to be tough to get through this one

You might catch a few with that.
Naturally, but tbf I wouldn't blame us struggling, I mean our priority is massively the PL now and the timing couldn't be trickier with the 'first team' taken off for match prep this week v Burnley - then recovery Thur / Fri - who will be planning and prepping the 'reserves' for S'oton in great form?

For me it should be the same team, keep the momentum going, no point getting to the semi final then throwing it.

But with no time for planning or prep, with recovery needed Thur, then travelling Friday, the team / squad even, that prep and play v Burnley can't really just rock up v a good top end championship side on a roll who are good enough for champ play off..nah... we need a separate 25 x man squad sort of for this one
