FA Cup SF Draw | Nott'm Forest | Sun 27 April 16:30 | ITV1

Many wanted to go Bournemouth, myself included but couldn't go why cos it was sold out
You won't go to the semi cos you won't line the pockets of the FA but will probably go to the final and pay for a more expensive ticket.
You are still lining the pockets of the F A .
some people need better excuses for not being arsed to go to lesser games cos it's getting silly
The FA got a percentage of the gate receipts for the Bournemouth match as well

BTW, Shirley.

I went to Bournemouth away in the last round of the FA Cup.

Why? Because I have over 25,000 loyalty points. And I'm in the FA Cup scheme. I was lucky to get a ticket.

You know why other people didn't go?

Because it was on Sunday Afternoon. It was a rearranged match for TV. People had work the next morning. Etc. But I didn't slag them off.

I won't line the pockets of the FA. Like many City fans now won't.
I'm similar to you. Similar points and went to Bournemouth but I'm not bothering with semi finals as long as they're at Wembley.

All very true, I can't afford the semi as me and my son decided to do Southampton away and we'll get no change out of 350 quid for that game alone , we will go to the final if we make it , but again that will be probably another 5-600 quid at least for the pair of us .
No change out of £350?
£30 a ticket each, so what is the other £290 going on if you don’t mind me asking?

As I’ve said previously why come on the internet and tell the world you are not going….bizarre
But it's not 'the internet'. It's a fans forum on the internet.
It was established so that City fans can talk about all things to do with football.
That includes a trip to Wembley. There are positive post and there are negative ones. I can't understand why you think that is bizarre.

I'm guessing travel and food - maybe staying over? It's a bit of an outlay for a game at St Mary's.

9k at Spurs was one of the best aways in modern times, and here we are about to take over triple that for the 30th (or so) time in 14 years, anyone who criticises that in or outside the club, doesn’t really understand football, it’s cheap point scoring by tinternet fannies who’ve never paid a penny to attend a game. Me, I’ll be there & I’ll be getting shit faced and singing my heart out for 90
I’ve said it before as have many others. There are only 2 clubs outside of London who would consistently sell out their allocation at Wembley if they’d been there as many times as we have in the past 14 years. We all know who those clubs are, yet it’s worth noting that United didn’t quite sell out their semi final against Everton in 2016. Going back a lot further, I recall the 1990 Charity Shield at Wembley between United and Liverpool. It was United’s first CS for 5 years, whereas Liverpool had been in it almost every year since United had last been, plus had far more FA Cup/League Cup Final appearances at Wembley than United had in those preceding 5 years. Lo and behold, Liverpool didn’t sell out their allocation for the 1990 Charity Shield, whereas United did, and United’s Red Issue fanzine went to town on them and took the piss.

Newcastle, Sunderland, Everton, Leeds, etc, all have a great travelling following but if they were as “Wembleyed out” as our fans are then they wouldn’t always sell out. Personally, I make the effort to get down there for every semi-final - although Sunday will be the first one played in front of fans that I’ve missed at the new Wembley due to me being away - but I’ve got mates who are more than happy to skip it these days as they’re factoring in the possibility of us getting there again in a few weeks time. Does that make them shit fans? Well a few of them have been watching City home and away longer than I have so no it doesn’t IMO. Same goes for the United fans I know who have missed plenty of semi-finals and Community Shield matches but have put the hard yards in elsewhere.

Just my opinion…

Neil Young was a big favourite when I attended my first matches. Loved him, great player and a scorer of important goals.

He was great but Tony Coleman was my first cult hero.
A Penalty taker supreme-:)
My Dad said he was a real coal man and if you looked carefully his hands were full of coal dust. Of course I believed him he was my Dad

And posting negative comment has become the norm for some people.

My first memories of City were of Tony Coleman running along the left wing in front of the main stand towards the scoreboard end. He was certainly a character and it would be nice if more information could be found. Is he still in Australia?

True. But some people seem to be revelling in telling everyone how much they hate our club. It’s not compulsory to be a City supporter. The negativity from some of our fans is pathetic. They are doing the media’s job for them. The enemies of our club have spent years trying to undermine and divide our fanbase. Relentless press briefings and media attacks. The tactic seems to have worked with some people. We need to stick together. If you hate the club stay away.

How on earth is Wembley for the final so much dearer than Southampton?
I know the price of tickets, the price of refreshments and the price of fuel. I just don't see how some people are getting the overall cost of the day to be so high.
