We play a CL q/f 2nd leg a few days before and arsenal in the PL a few days after the FA Cup semi. Hopefully without tempting fate we can rest a few players against Sheff U and still win. Wouldn’t have been able to do that against anybody else
Perhaps we should recall our loanees...

We’ve done that previously and lost. F*ck that! Play our best team, score a few goals, and make substitutions then. No fucking about this time.(Pep)

Should we allow McAtee and Doyle to play against us ?
If Sheffield United had signed that letter to CAS I’d say categorically, no!

But they didn’t so I think it would be harsh. However, selfishly we have the CL the midweek before and Arsenal in the Prem the midweek after so I’m going to say, sorry SheffUtd, we’ve got to take any advantage we can so, no.

That was against Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool though not a Championship team.

Like yesterday where we made seven changes from midweek, there’s no way we won’t rest players against SheffUtd.

With respect we’ve never played a championship team missing their best two players

Wigan.

Can those who are getting giddy..... please remember Wigan
Unless there’s going to be rumours doing the rounds that Pep has been sacked and the biggest crowd for one set of fans in a Wembley final had turned poisonous and the team were all over the place having heard the news… there won’t be any circumstances the same.

From the BBC webpage.

Loan players are not allowed to play against their parent clubs in the FA Cup, meaning that Sheffield United pair Tommy Doyle and Jamie McAtee will not be permitted to play against City.
