Every City fan I've come across is seriously gutted that Doyle & McAtee won't be allowed to play. It would have been a memorable day for all concerned & it would allow us to properly judge how far they've come.

That's my take on it. Put I know people have been saying the rules state if city allow.
But we didn't allow bellis so we won't allow the 2
Harwood-Bellis is out injured, so I don't think Burnley even asked if he could play Saturday

I'm not gutted. Doyle and McAtee give them a better chance of winning the game. We should win, but take nothing for granted. No chance they should play, imagine they score the winner. Harwood bellis didn't play on Saturday.
Not sure if he was injured but team news on sky said he was ineligible. So either rules were he couldn't or city said no.

Doyle & McAtee can - provided City give permission. Cancelo can, rules of competition. The comparison is how you feel about it. When Patrick Roberts scored the equaliser for Celtic at the Etihad, i wasn't feeling very good about that at the timeThey're two of our own & deserve their chance to shine. Really hope we go all out for this now. The league isn't over but it's going to take a huge effort to leapfrog Arsenal now, and a huge collapse from them is needed too, so why not put more eggs in the FA Cup basket? Finishing 2nd with an FA Cup and a good run at the Champions League would be fantastic. I want the PL title more than everything else when the season starts but I'm fine with adjusting expectations and would love to win the FA Cup - we don't win it enough compared to the other domestic honours we have. I think we've also lost in the semi-final three years running, so it's time to put that to bed.

We are going to win the league. Win the game in hand and beat Arsenal and it within 2 points. Their bottle job starts at that point.Really hope we go all out for this now. The league isn't over but it's going to take a huge effort to leapfrog Arsenal now, and a huge collapse from them is needed too, so why not put more eggs in the FA Cup basket? Finishing 2nd with an FA Cup and a good run at the Champions League would be fantastic.
