FA Cup SF | Liverpool | Sat 16 Apr 15:30 | Travel, Ticket & Pub Discussion

Took my sons aged 10 and 12 at the time to Wembley for first time in 2011 for the semi final and final. It was a wonderful thing for me. I even blubbed a little bit when we lifted the cup, which they thought was hilarious. We'll be back at Wembley a week on Sunday for the umpteenth time since then but it will still feel special.
Roll on 9 nine years to the CL final in Porto and we were there. My lads now in their early 20's and we had a very memorable weekend despite the result. I would now sooner win in Paris than at Wembley. The FA cup does not compare to the CL in the slightest. The CL is so much bigger for the club.
I'm not arguing it is, this is purely a personal thing for me. Regardless, fingers fucking crossed we all have a good day out a week on Saturday. We're travelling down the Friday night and staying with a friend in Enfield so no titting about on the Saturday morning driving down from mcr. Can't wait.

Just sorted 2 x tickets in 217, buzzing for this. Fly back from Madrid via Malaga (Don't ask) for the Atletico game on the Thursday then back on the road Saturday for the Semi. It doesn't get much better.

Sad to see many giving it a miss (Alot i know, as they're away for easter / can't make it / can't afford it) but everyone has their reasons and that needs to be respected. In saying that, i think it will sellout or go very close.

Fair enough. My take is entirely different. I've got an 80 year old Dad and twin 14 year old boys, all City daft. I dream of taking all of them to PAris to see the pinnacle moment of Manchester City's history. None of us will ever get the chance to do this as three generations of City fans ever again. They've all been to Wembley loads of times, it's no big deal for them.

But that's not why I want it so much. I want it so much for Manchester City.
Poetic stuff

I can't tell you how to feel mate but, bloody hell, beating Liverpool or Bayern in Paris in front of the entire world on TV to win our first ever Champions League would be ten times more exciting and memorable than beating Chelsea or Palace to win our seventh FA Cup.
Also, as we are about to get relegated to the conference for nefarious financial dealings, it might be the last chance for a few seasons………
