I don't know who decides on criteria for City matches but whoever it is are a joke as the ticket criteria for semi final was:

8,000 25th Cup Scheme
7,000 26th Cup Scheme
6,000 27th Cup Scheme
5,000 28th Cup Scheme
3,500 30th Cup Scheme

So a 2 day wait for people on 3,500

But for the final they decided on:

8,000 24th Cup Scheme
7,000 25th Cup Scheme
6,000 26th Cup Scheme
5,000 27th Cup Scheme
4,000 29th Cup Scheme
2,500 30th Cup Scheme

So a 3 day wait for 3,500 as this time its down to 2,500 and theres a randomly added 4,000 to the list.

As you have absolutely no idea of what goes into planning the ticket strategy , the numbers, the members that do or don't qualify I'd say you were the joke.
Everything is planned and worked on to get the tickets out . it can't be all on one day and it can't be right up to the final.
How can they possibly plan for the tickets returned from Wigan? They can't so they have to tweak things.

As always the moaners know fuck all, and the moaners of the loyalty point system won't be taking any of the Swansea tickets that remain unsold, no the moaners will wait till next season and plead how wrong we were to cut our allocation next time round.
There are even a few thousand unsold for west brom At HOME next week. Lost the league have we!!

Agreed.
Yes Agreed. City have a professional approach to tickets well in advance of all other clubs. Well done the ticket office throughout a very busy month. PS my tickets arrived in the post yesterday. Bring it on!

I'm not going to Swansea,Reading but I will see you all at West Brom...or will I...lol.

Anyway...The sun is out,I'm on rest days and going in my garden thinking of Wembley and the sea of blue it will be. I cannot wait now.

Clearly City cannot make all tickets available on day one. But even allowing for that, it does seem that the sales process has been unduly drawn out.

We started selling tickets to season ticket holders a couple of days later than Wigan. Why?

We apparently have approx 17,000 season ticket holders on the cup scheme. We have only just reached the stage where all of those are eligible to buy. Surely we can sell tickets faster than 2-3,000 per day? Surely we could have had an orderly sales process that didnt cause the computers to crash but ensured that all of those on the cup scheme had the opportunity to buy their tickets by the start of this week?

City can't be expected to anticipate returns from Wigan. But if we'd sold our initial allocation quicker, wouldn't we be in a better position to ask for and then process any increased allocation?

I dont have any personal axe to grind, I was able to buy my ticket last week. But I do feel sorry for City fans that have been waiting for so long to see if they will be able to buy a ticket.

When we consider the stoke final and the tickekline fiasco in 2011 - the club have made massive improvements. The online system works fine and is a excellent much needed adition. Hopefully, they will learn again from this and try to drop the elegibility criteria a bit quicker.

If anyone can help me get a ticket or two it would be greatly appreciated, was let down by a mate who was meant to be buying them. Thank you

the problem with dropping the eligibility quicker is if its set at say 4000 and then drops to 3000 a member on 3990 is classed as the same as someone on 3010. that's a seasons worth of away games that the 3990 has attended over the other fan.
imo when possible they should drop on 500's or split them at 1pm.

Not got a real problem with how tickets were allocated as needs good planning for such an occasion, the only thing I would tweak would be compressing the amount of days that cup scheme members regardless of loyalty points into less days....tough job, keep up the good work blues and let's rock Wembley...

Perhaps this is the ideal, and due to time restrictions, the process for the semi was revised and condensed up to creaking point. Perhaps the 4000 was added because the demand on this day outstripped supply of server capacity or telephone operators and the service City gave was not sufficient. Some good points from De Niro.
