Delighted with this news. The players have worked hard yo get to the semi finals and so the competition should be completed.

Gutted we may be in an FA Cup final but not able to attend, but were living through a far from perfect situation.

The FA Cup quarter-finals have been rescheduled for the weekend of 27-28 June with the final set to take place on Saturday, 1 August.

FA chief executive Mark Bullingham said the dates are "dependent on all safety measures being met" with venues and kick-off times yet to be confirmed.

The semi-finals have been rescheduled for 11-12 July.

Talk about shoehorning our games in at the beginning when injuries will be suffered

Just because we may have decent options as backup does not negate the point about injuries needlessly occurring due to the schedule.

Not sure about needlessly occurring, unless you have a specific point. Sadly what has happened has resulted in a finite amount of time to complete the fixtures, and as were still in the FA cup, unfortunately it will result in additional games.

I take it you mean our players will be burnt out and I agree, on the other hand some players who do not have to play in these competitions will be rested and raring to go whenever the new season kicks off. Hmmmmmmmmm

Ha ha, Quarter finals then. Must admit Newc is a pretty tough draw. They tend to give us a very tough game so taking nothing for granted.
