FA Youth Cup. City v Fleetwood - 7th February @7pm

Oxford beat Leeds 3-0, so it is them that we play in the quarter finals at ours. Needs to be played before March 4th so my money on it being 28th Feb when some of us are down Bristol City!!

On the Fa's website it showing us playing Oxford on Saturday night 4th March at 19:00

City will enjoy home advantage against Oxford with the tie to be played on Tuesday 7 March, with kick-off scheduled for 19:00

Yes I forgot about them two sorry . And you are right some of next years group were the replacements but will be a year wiser.

Basing my assessment on most recent experiences observing last years u16 absolutely crush the likes of Chelsea with ease and style, then watched U17 group without many of the current crop destroy Blackburn 6-0 this season and looked unplayable on the day.

I read a report in the Athletic about a year ago about playing style and rated players coming through in these age groups and the usuals were in there, but others we have barely seen at U18 so far got notable mentions and the athletic is usually well informed, plus some new signings. All very positive !
Like who lol

Extract of Athletic report on academy I mentioned, also 2 boys coming in from the states as well. Add to that Harrison who seems to score everytime he’s given a chance, Heskey who not featured much through injury, Simpson Pussie still developing will be some ctr back,Ruprect new to the country already come on leaps and bounds, grant in goal the passing ability to get in most teams midfield and think next season will be good group

West Ham beat Ipswich 4-2 after extra time.Ipswich had a player set off after about 30 mins. I'm not a good judge of good or bad teams but West Ham didn;t look exceptional.

This match was shown on the FA's site, tonight it is the Arse v Cambridge, Tuesday City v Oxford.
I enjoy going to the youth games but if travelling to Manchester is difficult or the ticket office is messing you about this is an option.
