Apparently he had surgery on his groin last week and is expected to be out for another 7 weeks.

I was wondering about this.

Wether it's a genuine injury or a Pep holiday til January.

I think he's ok & could be really useful to the squad. Just never plays enough to settle into a decent level. No player would perform under the same circumstances. But if it's all down to injury, then he's a waste of a squad space.

Sorry to say but we need to ship this guy out in January and get at least a temporary replacement for the second half of the season same goes for Yaya.

I don't think they'd cut his groin open just to make people think he's injured.

In any case, it's not Pep's fault that we know fuck all about him. How on fuckin' earth none of the journous asked him on any of the recent press conferences, I don't get it. Guess they don't even remember Delph, which is fair enough, but still, at least someone from the MEN should be interested in this topic. Yet every fucking time there has to be a pointless debate about Kun's and Kompany's status within the team.

But I'm sure it's not a 'Pep holiday' as you call it, as even Yaya trains regularly with the first team just as any other player, yet you never see Delph in any of those training pics on the OS.
 
We should loan him out when he is eventually fit , let some other poor bastards pay his wages for lying on the treatment table for his next inevitable muscle strain , between him and toure we must be burning £350k a week , thats nearly 10 minutes oil production for ADUG
 
When he turned us down time ago saying he's not about money but first team football and joined Villa we should never have gone back in for him..
Who ever had this bright idea needs a double detonator..

 
Haven't seen enough of him on the field with the other players to pass judgment really. He's always coming back from an injury. I think he fits the Pep system as a squad player but will not carry the team. He's had flashes of brilliance like Jovetic but forgettable as well.
