Think he'd be decent for us if he stayed fit...Seems like a nice fella but with the way Pep is and Fab not really having chance to prove himself, think he'll find himself out. If he can stay fit he'd be a great signing for any team pushing Europe.
We could quote figures all day ,the basic point is when he's fit he's not a bad player but the version we have at city dosnt seem fit too often we just seem to have swapped him for jack Rodwell maybe Sunderland will take him.Yes but it doesn't show that. He was bloody 16 10 years ago! Does the fact he didn't play many games then mean he was injured, or was he just like every other 16 year old in the world?
Why not extend it longer, and manipulate your stat some more? Delph has only got 180 games in 15 years!
He didn't even sign a professional contract until 2008, so he hasn't got 180 games in 10 years as a pro, he's got 230 games (178 league games) in 8 years as a pro.
Which means he's played 30 games a year on average over his career. Not great these days, but not completely useless either.
Is that enough though when I guess we are playing about 60 games ? A season ,so he's available 50% of the timeDidn't cost much so worth the risk. He'll be available as cover 30 games a season.
Becoming increasingly clear that the purchase of this guy was a mistake thankfully not an expensive one. We should try to replace him in January if necessary with a stopgap who will at least be fit enough to play when asked. Not involved in training again today.
