I know this may seem nitpicky but can we stop referring to people as "rubbish"? It's one thing describing a performance or mentality of a player as rubbish, but referring to them outright as such just doesn't sit well with me.

Delph may very well not be of the required standard for our aspirations but he is not the sentient biological manifestation of garbage.

Beyond that semantics point, I actually think he has the potential to be a very useful squad player (which we need—we can't sustain a squad full of superstars) but I believe the injuries have taken a toll. He may be able to recover but, if he cannot, he was still one of the lowest cost signings since the take over and, by all accounts, is well liked by the other players (which helps out overall team morale) so we haven't really lost much with this transfer. For that reason I am a bit perplexed by some of the rather harsh comments made towards in on Bluemoon.
Well said.

Interestingly I was thinking this myself, pretty much agree with everything you said.

Fair enough.

I think he's not very good at all.

Perfectly valid opinion. Regardless of whether he stays or goes, though, I hope he is able to put the constant injuries behind him. I would hate to see a perfectly respectable career fizzle out (which is an understatement given the lot of us posters have never stepped on the pitch as a professional, much less tried to keep Monchengladbach's very able midfield quiet in a must-win Champions League match).

Except that he is holding a valuable squad place and as he seems to be suffering from the Vinny disease he is just never in a position to demonstrate what he can do.
When you consider Toure is also unavailable our midfield back up is a bit thin which will become obvious if we suffer other injuries while Kevin is absent. If Yaya is rehabilitated and VK proves his fitness can't see him being around come February.

Can't see him playing even when fit
I think you're right.

He's limited but i like Delph, however he's a player that needs to get fit and stay fit in order to display his best,he wont do that playing sporadic minutes for us - it may even be contributing to his niggles.
It may be best all round if we find a buyer in January.

At least we're likely to turn a profit on him.
