This seems strange to me. Until yesterday i had never heard of Fabian Delph having not been a great admirer of division 2 football since City left that division. I doubt he was on MH's shopping list, so any kind of linkage to this player was obviously speculative to say the least, or an after thought on MH's part. All this does is make it look like this guy is some kind of saint by accepting Aston Villa over City. We really should be saying no comment when asked about players we are half hearted about signing, anything else turns up in the media as a rod to beat us with.

Leeds can accept as many offers from as many clubs as they want. The player will end up where he wants to end up. I'm not arrogant enough to say that will be us, but we're not out of the running until the kid signs on the dotted line.

Alrite zin, any idea what happened with this deal? one min we're in for him next he's off to villa, did he sack us off?

From what i gather we refused point blank to loan him back, and his desire to play 1st team football..... to be honest he could of taken our cash cow, i'm pretty impressed to be honest.... takes a brave man to turn there back on our 'project' and he has, although sour, gained a great deal of my respect.

When was he brought to our attention, on the day of the Barnsley game. He was obviously brought to the attention of Martin O neil long before us. Because im sure if we offered Bates 7 million he would of been on the other phone to Villa asking for 8 mill, and dont let anyone kid you otherwise.
