Can't believe that you City fans can be so up your own arses. They've accepted our bid due to the fact of us not airing every transfer we're interested in to the press. Probably even turned down a bigger offer from you boys.

Your even so deluded to think that if he does well we'll just roll over and take the cash for him when you come calling.

The way your club is dealing with transfers is obviously getting up a lot of clubs noses and consequently they are not playing ball. The biggest offer doesn't always win the player.

Welcome to the board, I just have to pull you up on a few issues

1) The Barry transfer, the press received the information relating to Villa having accepted a bid from Villa
2) Barcelona revealed the news of our interest in Eto'o in the press (remember their weekend press release detailing "a stratospheric offer)
3) Milan let slip via their own news organ about our offer for Kaka
4) "Everton have today officially rejected a bid from Manchester City for Jolean Lescott" (their words on their site, not ours)

Do you see a pattern forming here.

We welcome constructive input from rival fans, but please have the intelligence not to believe all the BS published in the press and aired on SkySports lies. Of course you are quite correct, money does not always speak, the above four examples prove this to be the case, you have Fabien and to my shame having lived in Leeds for the past number of years I can confirm the masses round here are mourning the loss of the only player capable of getting them out of that division this year, but please dont take us for mugs, we know where and when lies have been spun tales have been told, at heart we are still (barring the odd newbie tossers here for the ride) the genuine football fans of OUR city. Coming on a City website gloating about the signing of a player that has appeared to date only at league one level is not becoming of you. Have some pride fella. In the meantime good luck for the coming season, never had a problem with Villa and have no reason to start now.

You really don't want to take a look at Villatalk.

I cannot believe Leeds would accept a lesser offer.

Either we didn't bid as high as Villa or we withdrew

Villa talk is probably full of some of the same sad cretinous keyboard warriors that can be found on here at times. I take what youre saying but I just choose to rise above poor attempts at a wind up. We know that 95% of the press spec is BS, we also know that whenever a big transfer happens our name will be mentioned even if we have nothing to do with it. If this guy is a real football fan, he'll regret the error of his ways City and Villa have no beef, if he's just another keyboard vigilante then let him bask in the two minutes of his glory. His hard on will soon subside when he realises they have bought a bloody good PROSPECT, cos that is what he is a PROSPECT. We have other fish to fry.

We didnt even get as far as a bid.

I can imagine we never even intended to. Such is the ethos at here at the moment, any big money deal, we will get mentioned, if only to screw a feww hundred k out of the buying club. Its business.

Got to laugh at the Villa kid coming on, those boys seriously hate City. Last January there was a mass Villa invasion onto the City board on 606, whoever had the group brain cell that day decided it'd be really funny to post sarcastic Articles saying that we had bid 30 mill for Ashley Young and how 'devastated' they all were. They seemed to think the idea that their star player would leave Villa for City was highly amusing. Fast forward to the summer transfer window and what happened, one of Villa's star players signed for City. Admittedly it wasn't Ashley Young, but one time club captain, 'Mr Villa' himself Gareth Barry. I'm sure you'll appreciate the irony there. I never had a problem with Villa before their fans became so antagonistic towards us following the takeover, the Ashley Young wind up just showed their level. It's no coincidence that the supporters giving us the most amount of grief are Everton and Villa fans, they realise that it's their league positions that are under immediate threat and are taking any opportunity to have a pop at City, showing us the 'error of our ways' in comparison to their perfectly ran, morally wholesome club. The funny thing is that most of their points are incorrect. They can post on here till their hearts desire (though I'd rather they didn't) but who are they trying to convince, us or them?!

absolutely spot on.

Hello City Fans,

Villa fan here. Just like to say you've got a great website in BM... and I came here after hearing some 'potentially' jealous comments about our recent interest in Fabian D, hoping to have a bit of a laugh.

Instead, you seem like a top bunch of guys -- humble, knowledgable -- but still very ambitious. Quite refreshing, given that most fans of other clubs vent their jealousy of your resources through hate.

Hope you have a good season, and you've made a great signing in GB... plus, I'm a massive fan of 'Sparky'. What a legend.

We couldn't crack the top four - I hope you do... their supporters will be sweating. I for one, will love it if you really upset them, and finish well (behind us, obviously - yeah right :)

Good Luck, and roll on the 15th!!!!!!!!!

he is going to sign for villa because we havent put a bid in and also he will have a better opportunity of getting first team football. The more interesting thing from my point of view is yet another left sided offensive player signed (downing, young and delph maybe youngs future at villa is not set in stone....) and MON still has done nothing to strengthen at the back.
