No loan deal though, some clubs are taking the piss a bit.

We should make it very clear to ANY PL club interested in any of our players this summer that we wont be loaning anyone.

Every club is cash rich and they can pay the going rates for players.

If he could stay fit for the whole season I genuinely think he'd not only be staying but play a big part.

Early on in the season last year he seemed to be one of the first players to really get what Pep wanted off the ball and put in some great box to box performances. Even after missing. The whole season his performance against Chelsea away was good.

He also seemed to be a really nice character to have at the club, so it's a shame things just didn't work out. Maybe he'll fix his injury problems somewhere else or at least get to a point where he plays every game he can when fit, being a rotation option with his injury record just doesn't work.

Completely agree.

Sadly, he just spends too much time being unavailable.

There's a good player there and if he can become injury free, someone could have a good footballer on their hands for a very reasonable fee.

I just hope City tell all suitors to fuck right off with their proposed loan deals.

Yes, couple of good games when he came in at the end of the season. I don't see a problem with keeping him in the squad, especially as he's English.

Walker, Stones, Sterling, Bertrand would be our 4 HG. You would need to waste a foreign spot on Delph if you want to keep him.

Pretty sure that is exactly what we have done.

Agree although if it's true that he's demanding a substantial pay off it will be tough. Despite being a decent mid table midfielder I was never keen on him due to the way he messed us about when at Leeds and then his strange u turn for Villa - says a lot about a player in World Cup year that after playing so few games for us he wants £4m pay off - allegedly! Not good enough to get more than the odd cup game for us so perhaps we should facilitate his departure.

Read somewhere that he is allegedly holding out for a£4M pay off before he will leave, bloody Yorkshire men and money!

I'd rather the players get the money and not the excessively rich owners. I back the players financially every time. Good for Fabian I say.

Yeah exactly, I am so happy that someone on 80k a week makes gains at the expense of City fans who earn a fraction of that amount a year. For fucks fucking sake. Poor fucking impoverished Fabian. He has done so much for us and our owners have done so little

You're blame is misplaced imo. Blame the rising prices on the owners. The valuation of the club has risen well over a billion dollars since the takeover. Weekly wages and buyouts are peanuts. The owners (in general, not referring to ours) fuck the players over any chance they get so the players should do what they can to maximize. Small buyouts have nothing at all to do with rising prices. Would you rather the owners pocket more money or the actual people that entertain us each week?

Took me a long while to see it that way too as I was on your side...the public is too but it's owners that rack in all the big bucks while the players look greedy.

Yes, but we're talking about our owners.

And if you think Fabian Delph deserves a £4M payoff for being permanently injured then you're a .....

He signed a contract and the club doesn't want to honor it. They want him to uproot his life/family and fuck off. How is that Fabian delphs fault for making them pay a premium for that? Why is it the players get stick for being greedy but when the owners say fuck off (literally this exact case) then the owners aren't even considered as being the 'bad guy'?

An Industrial Tribunal would have a field day in his favour.

If contractually he's due the money then he's due the money. Why would his agent advise him to walk away from 4 million GBP?
