Fekir needs to play closer to goal as he's lethal. Fabinho plays superbly in a defensive mid 2 and with Keita's engine and work rate it'll complement very well. Also enables them to play Fabinho at RB when needed and alter the whole formation at ease. Perfect signing for L'Pool.

Don't think they'd need to trade off champions league tbh. If they addall targets including Fekir, they'd still have players like Lallana, Milner and Matip with Henderson, Wijadlum, etc on the bench which isn't bad at all. They are putting together a pretty good squad tbf.

I see what you're saying. But I really don't rate Liverpool's midfield as it was, so I won't really consider it healthy depth going forwards. They could do with another striker I honestly think.

18 league goals for a CAM isn't lethal? You've clearly never seen the lad play if you say that, he's one of the most polished attackers in Europe, French league or not. He's going to be an absolute star at the WC.

Fabinho wasn't amazing this season but the season before he was terrific. Him and Bakayoko worked very well together and I remember him destroying us in the away leg in the CL.

Keita is a top player, he has everything in his locker he will be massive for them next year.

Keita & Fabinio gives them licence to attack knowing they have cover it also allows them to go 3 at the back Gomez VVD + 1 & Arnold & Robertson as wing backs Kieta & Fabinio then there front 3. They are a decent keeper & new CH away from competing week in week out. They have shit loads of money from Couhtinio + around £60m from Champs League. New keeper CH, Kieta & Fabinio £200m there not spending that to come 4th.

Until they can assemble a midfield that can hold and control the ball, rather than just run around chasing it, then they have no chance of unseating us as champions.

We won the title because we were utterly dominant with ball possession in just about every game. With Ederson we effectively started every game an outfield player up and until any other team can get a similar keeper and be coached by a clone of Pep then they are all playing for 2nd place.

I am gutted that we let this one slip through and the fact that he can fill in at left back is a bit us. If the dippers get a keeper then they are going to be serious challengers if they weren't already.

Wow! That was even more out of the blue than Bernardo Silva.

They're going to be a really formidable side next season. Keita, Fabinho and possibly even Fekir to come in strengthens them enormously. If they add a goalkeeper then they're all set to mount a credible title challenge next season. There are no guarantees that we'll be able to repeat the successes of last season, especially the incredible winning run that put an almost insurmountable distance between ourselves and the rest. Add to that the fact that United are preparing to spend an absolute fortune on improving their squad. I have serious doubts that bringing in Jorginho and Mahrez will be enough to maintain the present gulf in quality. If we're really serious about staying ahead of the chasing pack then I think we need to really go all out for a world-class attacker.

They have 2 in early doors which helps make them seem stronger.

Fabinho is an interesting one as everyone has looked by the sound of it and somehow a deal never got done.

It will be one that people will either kick themselves over or feel they dodged one.
