Even if he IS better than Bridge and Garrido, it's not by much. What would be the point of bringing in someone who's only a slight improvement, when we have the resources to bring someone in who is a huge improvement? We'd only end up having to go back into the market during the following transfer window to get someone that's better than Aurelio. Why not just do that in the first place?

He's solid; I wouldn't say he was better than Bridge though.

He's got too many injury issues and he's the wrong side of 30. If he could stay fit he'd be good backup, can't see us taking him though.

Not top left backs available at the moment that would come. Kolarov will end up at Real or somewhere, Vargas is perhaps a bit too attacking, more of a left-winger. Does Heiko Westermann play at left-back very often? He'd be a pretty good target.

Other than that I can't think of many that are obtainable right now.

Yeah... WE might not be able to think of many, but Mancini and our vast scouting network will. That's their job.
