Why would Bayern sell Subotic?

I belive he wasnt talking bout Subotic in contest with Bayern, he just put the Boateng move to them. But, who knows.

Subotic plays for Dortmund if i remember.

As in, a release clause? I really get confused by these, with regards to British clubs activating them.

I've heard different things from different sources regarding whether release clauses apply to clubs from other countries, or just their own country. I've also heard that the clauses do apply to clubs worldwide, but overseas clubs have to pay a premium on top of that. Confused as to what to believe.

Can multiple teams trigger the clause and then it comes to who the agent and player decide they wanna play for.

Say we, Bayern and Liverpool all trigger the clause. At that point Benfica is out of it, and the player chooses which contract offer to agree to.

I think our biggest rivals are likely to be Chelsea depending on what happens with Cole. Can't see him going to Liverpool and I think playing in the prem is a bigger draw. The Munich talk was likely to be the agent trying to find out who else is interested.

Boateng can play anywhere in defense..it's good to have a player like him. But i think he will be class centre back for us. Give him time.

Plenty wil disagree because as we have witnessed he has been awful at fullback,he's purely a centrehalf for me - potentially a very good one.

I'm pretty happy with our centre half options and certainly don't see it as a priority area for strengthening,however,obviously if a superstar becomes available.....

I have seen Subotic play and he isn't that special. Boateng is young and is a better option than Lescott or Toure. You haven't seen enough of Boateng in the centre. He is class there. You aren't giving him enough time. He is 192cm..tall defender but also very fast for his size.

I can't understand how people already want to get rid of him. Shows how patient the fans are. Boateng has the abilities..he needs to be given time to show them.

Coentrao will be leaving in the summer, that's a fact. Taiwo is officially signing for Benfica so Coentrao will be out regardless. I hope we don't sign him if I'm honest, it'll be Kolarov part 2, he's not great defensively, he's naturally a left midfielder, converted to a LB. I think he'd flop if we signed him.
