Fabregas

Arshavin and Fabregas are totally different

Small, quick feet, eye for a pass and both can finish. Arshavin has more of an eye for a goal, Fabregas the pass.

Both are slim build, small in height and use agility over brute force and imposing themslef on the game ala Viera.

So i'd say they're pretty similar.

What about weight and shoe size? I also think arshavin has lighter hair.

You are right though, Fab has the eye for the pass and Arsh the goal. Arsh is more attacking and more akin to play on the flank or behind the front man. I couldn't see Cesc on the wing. I think they are different players pretty much, on is an all round midfielder and the other attacking midfielder

Hleb he didnt replace, he is a great manager, but a moaner and is poor in the market

Ah i forget Hleb, nice one. And kind of backs up what i was saying. Another slim, below average height fast feet palyer with an eye for a pass. same kind of player as Fabregas, Arshavin, Rosicky et al but excells at dribbling rather than shooting or passing.

Slim build would cover the weight, i know you're being pedantic but shoe size and hair colour are not attributes associated to professional footballers.

I don't see Fabregas get stuck in and defend. But thats not the point im making, im not saying each is a carbon copy of each other. How best to explain it;

Each player has the same base, each player has similar physical attributes, each player has a similar philosophy on how to play the game, each player has the similar core abilities.

From there each one excells in a different area. Its not good team building from Wenger, as we've shown, we've bought hard bastards to impose themslves on the game in DM, agile flair players in attack, a target man upfront and if we get Lescott along with Kompany/Onuoha big strong bastards at the back.

Are you serious?? Moaner yes, but Arsène is amazing in the market...I should add that, IMO, he has had practically no money available over the last few years, despite the Arsenal board's protestations

I'm sure he admittted he'd had 60mil to spend last season but choose not to.

He's bought some absolute gems in the transfer market but his ability to rebuild his squad ala *spit* Ferguson, has evidently been piss poor.

He may have said it (though I don't think that is precisely what he said) but if he did, it certainly isn't true IMO. I agree Arsenal are in relative decline, but I think that he has had a hand tied behind his back. Obviously Arsenal don't like to advertise that fact in public.

Arshavin: 15mil
Rosicky: 7mil
Ramsey: 5mil
Nasri: 16mil
Hleb: 12mil
Denilson: 3.5mil
Song: 1mil

Thats a lot of cash recently, not one player in a different mould imo. Not one Viera/Kompany/Felliani/Carrick/Essien esque signing.

Yes, but you need to look at the net spend not the total spend. You're right he doesn't have a Vieira type, but that's because he lost Flamini for free and hasn't yet found a replacement that (a) he can afford and (b) he wants.
