My Dad knows Danny Higginbothom's Dad (both drink in the same pub) and he was telling my Dad a few years ago that Danny was captain of Stoke for the FA Cup game against Arsenal at the Britannia. Before the game the two captains were asked to go down to see the ref and when they were leaving the room and going back to their teams Higginbotham held his hand out to shake hands with Fabregas and Fabregas looked him up and down and walked out without shaking his hand.
Stoke won the game and Higginbotham went right up to Fabregas at the final whistle to tell him exactly what he thought of him. Fabregas said "don't speak to me" and just walked off and didn't shake any Stoke players' hands.
