Fabregas

....You spin me right round baby right round....

"...it is thought that Moyes could have signed Thiago over the course of the past weeks, with the delay in his finally leaving for Bayern being down to United's manager not being completely convinced by the 22-year-old. Although it is understood Thiago was keen on joining United, there were suggestions from some at the club that he might struggle on occasion to cope with the physicality of the Premier League."

"...Fellani has a release clause that activates mid August, and Moyes, who signed the Beligian for 15m from Standard Liege, is keen to activate a 23 million pound bid. It is beleived that that 6ft 4 midfielder can offer the physicallity that United have been lacking for many seasons."

Manchester United confident of landing Cesc Fabregas from Barcelona after lodging £26 million bid via @Telegraph http://fw.to/8gxcbkB

Another thick journo ....

Arf!

There's a brilliant Fabrrgas gif on the 2nd to last page of the red cafe thread about it.

On phone so I can't repost it here but can someone. It's very good.

Despite the rumoured interest from Manchester United, Barcelona midfielder Cesc Fabregas doesn't plan to leave this summer. [md] via @barcastuff

Can't state this enough. The mindless journos over in Australia will spin it all fucking day that united are confident when EVERYTHING that's come from barca this summer has said that he ain't leaving and he's never considered it. Not to mention Rossell isn't selling. Purely a PR stunt and the fact that the media is running with it is just laughably bad.

As people have said earlier... it's purely a PR stunt to paper over the fact they were snubbed by Thiago.

For weeks it's been Thiago is a certainty for the scum and how he'll be that midfielder they've lacked the past so many seasons.

Then he decides last min to go elsewhere, scum PR in panic mode make awful bid for player who's already stated they won't leave their club and a big that the club would never accept.

Meanwhile journo world laps it up thinking Thiago was all a ploy so they could big for Fibreglass, and it'd be a "coup".

I'm not saying the scum won't sign a "marque" style player this summer, to be honest they need to. With Mourinho back for Chelsea, us having a revamp of style of play (and making several new signings) it's all looking like Chelsea and City.

Meanwhile over in Trafford the Scottish twats finally left the throne and the "empire" has been left to the jester. They'll get Baines for around 15mil and poss Fellani and consider it a successful summer.

I don't know how many times I have read the Utd are confident of signing Fabregas claim

The press must have been briefed to that effect.

Either Utd have done some good tapping up work, or more likely they really are clueless.

Quite happy for Utd fans to be sent high as kites and then dumped from a great height when they realise it's all not working out. By the time the season starts, they'll be in rebellious mood

There's a few armchairs at work, and they are already very anxious about the season ahead

They briefed the press this morning with them in Australia, they can be 'confident' all they want but they're wasting their time and as you said earlier I'm perfectly fine e with them doing that all July so long as I don't have to read it everyday in the papers...

figured i'd post this to show their side of things as well:

Red Issue ‏@RedIssue 3h
Utd's bid for Fabregas will be no surprise to RI's Sanctuary users - we reported his camp as telling people he's off to OT over a month ago.

apparently, redissueforum.co.uk is a private united forum where you pay a 1 time fee of 10 pounds to join. his camp and united can be confident all they want your only embarrassing yourselves by starting off any sort of negotiations by putting in a non starter of an offer. Still don't see Rosell selling

This bid is basically a publicity stunt to take away all the negative media around missing out on Thaigo. Moyes is making himself look like a laughing stock... he basically said Rooney was a back up to RVP and with Rooney's ego that will not go down well, he said "i never said Thiago was a target" as soon as he knew Bayern were getting him after they had been chasing him all summer and then he went on to state that they are only in for the very best players available at the football club... so the next day later, he puts in a bid for Fabregas (a big star) when he knows full well that the bid will be rejected and that Barca will not be selling him whatsoever after losing Thiago. It was a publicity stunt to release the pressure off him and to get the United fans off his back from saying that he cannot deliever big names.

He is making himself look very stupid, he must not be able to handle the pressure of taking on such a big job. Absolute small time cod eyed clown.

That is just a sensational sentence. Hope you don't mind if i start referring to Moyes as that from now on.
