The thing that's struck me about this saga is that in many ways Fabregas is a typical rag player - an arrogant, snide, whingeing cheat.

I notice no ones put forward a valid reason as too why Welbeck can't be a central midfielder. This is what I think too. If he stays at Barca then united wasted time. If he goes to united then he shows that Arsenal or Barca don't mean as much to him as he went on and on and on about.

.... If he came to City then I could live with his hypocrisy though which makes me a hypocrytical fool meself :-)

I thought your highly moralistic manager would have done the decent thing after being told to fuck off !! After all he slated us and caused no end of bad blood between ourselves and Everton over the Lescott transfer and called our behaviour disgusting !! Who knows what goes on behind closed doors though? This very public to and fro between the clubs is one thing but I can't imagine we'd be daft enough to persist without some indication in private that a deal could be reached. If anything to save face in case Fabregas stays.

They did the same with Alan smith, who was a far superior player just to add.......

Welbeck is shite under pressure of the ball, hence he's a striker-and not an instinctive one, Paul dickov had great workrate, an ok short game but a midfielder he never would of made, why? Because midfielders are about composure at the highest level, both welbeck and dicov suffer from the same flaw- rabbitinheadlightitis!

Welbeck is another Frazier Campbell, Macheda, diouf, could go on and on- he's a vessel for the rag propaganda machine where by they sell for excessive profit because they've worn the come-stained top, now if you can't see that then open your eyes, however much like I'd say 70% of your posts it's a wind up and as transparent as the rag USP for transfers!!
