Jack, how would you feel about Cabaye and Fellaini? Obviously Cesc is the big name, but those two would be attainable and probably make a superb pairing.

I'd take that right now in all honesty. Provided Cabaye stays fit he's a cracking player. Those two are more realistic targets so to get both would be great. If we get Fabregas, as amazing as that would be, I could see us going "right, where next?" after shelling out 40m. I think we could probably get both Cabaye and Fellaini for that. Your transfer "policy" is getting to be a bit like Grounhog Day. Over and over you're linked with big names and the red tops push it for all its worth and one by one the names either go somewhere else ( Thiago, Strootman) or get quietly dropped aka Ronaldo this time round and Fabregas going the same way. Then the red tops are linking you with lesser names i.e. Modric who again are quietly dropped until you finally end up with them touting the player(s) you were really in for all along, it will probably be Felliaini this year. Is Moyes going to come out and make statements about no value in the market??

Hope not, he's already told everybody we have unlimited money to spend so obviously getting bent over Qpr style doesn't worry him. Not the best way to begin a negotiation period is it? By declaring you have money burning a hole...

I pray to god you get cabaye having seen yaya maul him his last 3/4 games, if you sign Fellaini I will literally glow inside, it means the fake bb2.0 is bringing his "exceptional" to watch football!!

cesc comes across a bit of a cnut so i dont think he,l bother what arsenal fans think,but if he does join the rags which i think he will his quotes about never playing for any other club in england exept arsenal will make him a hate figure along side van rapist,i really hope this deal doesnt happen because if it does i,l wonder why we havent gone in for him

Jack, how do you rate Jones, Clevz and Wellbrilliant?

Jones and Welbeck will be great for us, Jones especially. I think he has the most potential. With Welbeck it's just a question of where he will end up. He plays up front, behind the striker and out wide and so far has only really used his skills to help the team collectively, such as marking Alonso or his work rate. A striker that can't finish is pretty much as problematic as it gets so he really needs to start doing that if he wants to start for us regularly after the age of about 25.

Cleverley, while promising hasn't really stepped up. He's good at keeping the ball and can pass it well but doesn't really impose himself on the game. Not creative enough, or defensive enough to be given a style. He just sort of partners Carrick and keeps himself open for a pass. People keep talking as if he's a young player but he's 24, if he is to make it here he needs to prove himself.

But yeah, Jones excites me. I think he will be top class, providing we play him at cb and stop fooling ourselves that he can play central midfield.

Fair assesment that. Think Jones and Smalling will be your long term cb's. Fabregas would be a great signing if it comes off, think Kagawa may go if he does though.
