Fabrice Muamba

You hear about this stuff happening or read about it in the papers and it somehow does not seem real. But to actually see that happen was truly shocking and heartbreaking. It's an image that will stay with me for the rest of my days. I hope he's going to be ok but it obviously it did not look good at all. Heart goes out to his family and anyone who had to witness such a horrific thing.

David Pleat on BBC Radio 5 live: "The St Johns Ambulance, a voluntary organisation, attend football matches at every level to make sure players are looked after. They do a wonderful job and the work they did tonight was admirable."

Sounds good.

My sister had a heart attack in hospital last year. Shes only 30. Her heart was stopped for 15 minutes and she pulled through thanks to quick cpr and is getting back to 100%. Let's just pray the same happens here.

By far the best news I have been given all day , sometimes I love this forum.

I know that he just collapsed with nobody near him, but was it captured on the TV or not? Not that i want to watch it but maybe it could give some clues as to what happened?
No they didn't show him collapse they followed the play...when the cameras went to him for a short moment the physio was trying to get him on his side and he looked like he was having a fit or his body was in spasm...a guy on sky news who was at the the game said he went down and didn't try to break his fall so basically collapsed

Watching SkyNews talking about it has me welling up.

THIS. The guy is in tears talking. Horrible.

Affecting so many people involved in football, millions worldwide, trying to stay optimistic for him. I was young when the foe incident happened, but being grown up now and only being 5 years younger than him its shocking. Close to tears.

i wont watch it, i'm close to tears myself and i'm shaking at the thought of the outcome.
i feel for his parents, indescribable pain.

Just watched a video on Youtube, you dont see him fall but he is on the floor with the medical teams and players instantly around him. You can just tell that its horrible and the reaction of the players in distress. Really not nice.
