Fabrice Muamba

Have to say hats off to the medical staff and personnel at the ground that acted so quickly and professionally! Great news to hear he's stable!

Well said and sums up to a tee what we are all thinking.

A club doctor of Geelong Football Club in his forties collapsed during the clubs warm up fairly recently and thanks to the medical staff on deck made a full recovery.

Every ground should give a minutes applause to their medical teams before the next game.

They are responsible for saving a mans life this evening. I just hope that there is no lasting damage but at this moment in time his kids still have their dad.

The emergency services at grounds right across the country always go unnoticed.

So glad they are rightfully being acknowledged this evening.

When you think of how professional footballers are pampered and treated like stars in general and think of how we're treated as supporters.

Yet if one of us had undergone the same trauma as Muamba we would have recieved exactly the same care and attention.

They are wonderful people.

Great posts!

Thoughts are with the lad...hope he makes a full recovery. Im sure it was a right scare even if it turns out to be nothing serious.

Are you wumming...This lad has just been resusitated on a football pitch and you think that isn't serious.

Could not agree more!

Hoping Muamba makes a full recovery too

According to Radio 5 a Cardio-ologist was in the crowd, seen what happened and went to the stewards, was allowed onto the pitch and went to give first aid and accompanied Fabrice to the hospital.

Still no updates on 5 live, though the SSN ticker bar are reporting
"BREAKING NEWS HOSPITAL: BOLTON'S FABRICE MUAMBA IN STABLE CONDITION AFTER COLLAPSE"

Here here. My 6 year old son was recently rushed to hospital in an ambulance after a bad asthma attack. It was touch and go for a while but the care he received from the moment they got on the scene right through to him being discharged a week later was beyond heroic. What a difference these people make. It's astounding and I can think of no greater legacy.
