I think it is pretty much nailed on that from now on City will only be looking at managers with a track record of winning actual trophies. I doubt we will be a testing ground for trophyless managers who are reasonable at over-achieving with bargain basement buys.

we,ve been there and done that..we have to DRAW the line somewhere :)

Given a few years he probably would be great for us, but is there a manager in the world ho would get more than 18 months to make a positive impact on us?

If sticking 11 men behind the ball and defending for their lives and conning the ref all night makes him a good manager then there's something wrong. They are a posh Stoke, nothing more.

I guarantee here and now to that we will finish above Everton this year and every year Moyes is in charge there.

Now, first and foremost, i hate Moyes with a passion, because he is manager of those scum twats in dipperland. he is enough to get on anyone's nerves and a bit of a twat in all fairness. But i would bite your hand off if you offered Moyes coming to us as manager, and you would be daft if you didnt. i hated bellamy and adebayor before they came to us, but now i love them. moyes is a fantastic manager, who has worked wonders with a very average team at most, yes they have some good players in arteta, pienaar and a few others but in all seriousness its an OK team. He has done fantastically well with them, getting them to 4th and in and around the top 4 in the last 4 years or so, which is a great achievement. now i'm certainly not saying that i like him at all, but i am saying that if mancini were to get sacked(doubtful), if i were garry cook i would pay whatever it takes to get him into the job

I love the way some of these idiots on here who say they wouldn't want him, put their personal feelings above Man City winning.

Your all an absolute joke. Supporters? My Arse.

I'd take Alex Ferguson as manager hear in a heart beat if it meant us winning league titles and champions leagues.

Some of you need to have a long fucking look in the mirror and decide if you want this club to be succesful or your own petty, pathetic and often stupid personal feelings are more important

Never.

Watchin everton last night was like watchin wimbleedon of old, all they do is hoof the ball up to saha and try any feed off the second ball.

are you for real I'm sure i watched your lot hoofing it as much as us,did you not see the two great back headers jags done to his keeper after long punts trying to find tevez..and they wasn't the only times..did you not see our second goal..Everton do more nowadays than just lump it up we mix both midfield play and punts up field..

Anyone who would have Baconface here as manager needs more help than can be given.

If your standards are so low that you'll accept any behaviour in the name of 3 points I can see why your such an advocate of Moyes.

Diving, kicking, cheating all part of the game for him. Personally the day we have to resort to that week in week out for the sake of 3 points is the day I lose interest in football.

Moyes is the Marks & Spencer of football. Reliable, good value for money but so boring, a coma would be more entertaining than an evening with Moyes.
What I would love is C O N T I N U I T Y and the only thing that Everton has that I am jealous of is 8 years with 1 manager.
Football is now in two parts - the football itself - and the business. The only way to consistency is to allow the manager time, space & support from the staff, players and fans. Without any doubt what so ever, Mancini will be a very successful manager - given time. So, get the continuity with Mancini. Even if we finish 5th or 6th - give him time - at least his full 3.5 year contract, let him create is own team and squad and lets see what happens.
Add to that the mind boggling money that we appear to have to be able to spend on players - and make sure the club is being well run with strong business values as well, then within 5 years, we will have won many cups, be a regular in champions league and might even have a premiership under our belt.
MOYES will NEVER EVER EVER have the success that really matters - even given another 10 fooking years. Everton getting into the champions league will be like West Brom coming up again to the premiership. They will get fucked again by the Elephant's dick that is the champions league and not be able to sit down again for months!
So, no. I wouldn't have MOYES if he fucking paid us the £3m+ he is on. He is the one with absolutely no class. He is a whinging, spineless, two faced, disrespectful, confused little man who can only be admired for one reason - that he has kept his job at everton for 8 years. He can attract 2nd rate players, turn them into good players, but Everton will only ever be bit players in the grand scheme of football. They will have the occasional minor success like the double over us this season, they might finish in the top 6 again but that will be all.
Man City have all the class in the world. You do not hear any of our players or the manager ever slagging off any other clubs or players. Neville, Moyes et al might cover the newspapers with put downs and insults, but to suggest that we have no class is as two faced as is possible. Saddam Hussain is more believable than Moyes.
