I don't have a clue what most of that means, but I love the sound of it.

I only have a high level view of it all but from my understanding all URLs pass though something called the “domain name service” (DNS). That converts URLs to IP addresses that web browsers actually use.

If the rumour is accurate then the URL has been removed so no one can link to the IP addresses.

Madness that this is breaking news.

I understand why but just puts into perspective how much of a big part of peoples lives these platforms are, and I say this as someone who uses fb messenger & whatsapp a lot so not getting on my high horse about SM
