I think we are quickly turning into the scousers! Always looking for 'a cause' always being wronged. Always looking for the negative / critical angle so we can 'protest'.
Fucking grow up!
I'm going to watch and support my team as well but football is being stolen from us bit by bit. One day you won't be able to watch a game because it's too expensive, on at an inconvenient time or so many tickets have been given to non-football fans. Then you'll think "We should so something" but it'll be too late.

I've had to use an adult season card for my lad and got the £115 tickets

So that's £230 tickets
£100 petrol
£131 hotel Friday and Saturday
And probably spend £150,beer,food,tubes etc
That's roughly £600......me and my lad will love every minute of it...there will be no protest from us,I've waited too long for us to have some success....ENJOY THE DAY BLUES!

A good idea that unfortunately be purposely ignored by the tv companies who will avoid panning to shots of people holding them up and also as has been said most will not be arsed with it as it's cup final day and people want to enjoy the atmosphere and day out, Personally I expect a cup final to cost more that the semi, my only issue is the kick off time. Boycotting games like happened in the bundesleague is the only way to affect the game, being there and moaning about it is pointless, as they have your money already.

We should take a leaf out of FC Basel's book with their tennis ball protest if it's protest action at the game something that actually affect the sponsors scheduling and plans

I really don't get this at all.
So football is getting more expensive - well so is everything else.
There are loads of things I can't afford, like a Ferrari Testarossa, or a private island in the Maldives, or a kilo of uncut Charlie.
So I do without them - I don't picket my local Ferrari showroom, or the Maldives tourist board, or my dealer.
It's called supply and demand, or the free market economy, or simply capitalism, and you may not like it, but I doubt it will be going away any time soon.
Waving a piece of A4 is hardly going to bring about a radical overhaul of the football pricing structure.

Yeah I get your point but how about a protest against the disgusting FA for all these sponsorship tickets they give away??

I admire the effort, but is it not just easier not to go?

The thing about consumers (and football fans are consumers) it's hard to say no when you really want something, especially when it is something close to your heart. The BBC did research into football prices (http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/19984968) and no one gave a shit. Then City fans do a protest at Arsenal, but no one gave a shit except the BBC because it meant they could promote the work they had done. Had that linesman not had some balls to speak up then I doubt think City's protest would of got as much attention as it did.

So long as the FA get bums on seats, they won't give a shit.

The sooner people switch to free streaming, the sooner the guys in suits will pay attention. But I doubt that will happen because the consumer likes convienenance.

The day the Premiership was formed it was to late. That was the day the game was actually stolen from us but the clubs themselves couldn't wait to do it - they couldn't give a fuck about the fans then and even less now.
Football has become the game that ate itself!
I actually hope the game implodes on itself - but the only chance of this is if the TV companies decided they won't pay what have they paid previously but thats not going to happen any time soon.
So my thinking is if you can afford to go to the game then enjoy it whilst you can and stop behaving like the scousers!

wont catch on. fa cup finals should not be used for protests.

i agree with you, just rising awareness

the only protest that would ever work would be if people didnt buy tickets an boycotted.

A boycott by fans at the FA Cup Final would have no effect on the FA as the "event" would still sell out, just to people that couldnt care about the result.
negative publicity for the "corporate partners" or even free advertising for the Partners major rivals would have the greatest effect.
Imaging the big cheese at Bill Hill having paid a fortune to be associated with the FA Cup Final seeing al lot of paddy power signs held by fans round the ground, or Budweiser seeing a "Carlsberg dont do football clubs MCFC banner''' I dont think they would be too happy, and their complaints to the FA would carry a LOT more weight than any boycott by fans at a game that will sell out regardless

A3 might though ;-)

Its not going to work, I'll be surprised if there are more than 50 of these held up on the day. As has been said if want to make anything happen, then it needs to be conserted, widespread, action, and across a whole weekend by all clubs.

Picking this game is wrong on a number of levels, firstly the prices aren't ridiculous (that's £65 in the PL, or 80 euro's in the CL), secondly its aimed at the FA, and obviously they are a part of it, but its the PL and UEFA and their sponsors, that we need to protest against. UEFA are responsible for this kick off time indirectly, as the CL final is at Wembley so it can't be the final game of the season, and that means holding it on a leagu Saturday, and the FA rules dictate that a game can't be live on TV at 3pm on a Saturday, unless its the only game.
