with ireland bang on form from last season, and barry also in the way... and kompany still there... i thought he'd dropped down the pecking order.

Yeah maybe so but to say you never expected him to feature at all when we have such a long hard season is bit premature, we will have plenty of injuries, suspensions, lack of form etc e.g. Stevie Ireland at the moment.

It seems that many of you have never seen NdJ play before this season. If Y. Touré DOES come in Jan or next season, it's curtains for Kompany as Y. Touré can hold his own as a defender if he's REALLY needed.

is the future on a regular basis, if Touré signs. Ireland will be the new Elano and Kompany(who is overrated) is surplus to requirements, i.e., history.

iv been very impressed with him this season. He only started his season when we signed him in jan, due to injury.. So even his perfomrmances last season was impressive if not magnificent.. The dutch always seem to produce good players of his type ..
