Spot on. The targeting is the problem and you would barely be able to believe how much is collected, even if you saw it with your own eyes. Newspapers can't figure out what music you like, what company you keep, your pay scale, family circumstances, social interests, rage buttons and send out a personalised copy straight to your door. They put out one copy of your paper that everyone can see, challenge and talk about.Agree with this. Fake news and targeted ads are not new but using them in conjunction with harvested data of individuals is.
