Atletico quell Falcao talk

Atletico Madrid president Enrique Cerezo has played down suggestions that Radamel Falcao could leave for the likes of Manchester City.
The Colombian international was linked with a possible move away from the Europa League winners this past summer as City and Chelsea were just two sides thought to be pondering a move.
However, Falcao stayed put and went on to score a superb hat-trick as Atletico beat Chelsea 4-1 to claim the Super Cup last Friday night.
Since then Falcao's uncle Alex Garcia has spoken out to claim he would be leaving in the next transfer window in January which prompted the player to immediately deny that on Twitter.
Atletico chief executive Miguel Angel Gil Marin has also hinted that Falcao, who cost 40 million euros from FC Porto in summer 2011, might be offloaded to ease the club's financial problems. But Cerezo is confident that the player will stay put with them for the foreseeable future.
He told Spanish radio show El Larguero: "I do not give him (Garcia) any importance.
"The player himself is not saying it, so there is nothing wrong. A father can say whatever he wishes about his sons, but Falcao has clearly explained that he is happy and content at Atletico and will be here for four years."
Cerezo added: "We are in a fantastic moment, a happy moment. We have a fantastic team and coach and I do not see Falcao's father's statements as destabilising. Everything is very calm. Falcao is not leaving."
