Not sure that Falcao is worth 54 million. He looked ordinary against Real Madrid in the Spanish Cup Final, except for one piece of creative magic. Mind you, he would link up brilliantly with Silva and Aguero.

That one piece of creative magic can change a game's outcome. He probably isn't worth 54 million, but in today's market, everything's inflated.

What I can say is that he has a really goals/game ratio for Atletico; 51 in 65, I think. Crazy.

Apart from Messi & Ronaldo, Falcao is the best finisher in the world. However this is complete bollocks.

One newspaper (the people ffs) ran the story, others quoted it, a few people had a few quid on it because of the article so the bookies shortened the odds. That's all there is to it.

If a few papers in Spain/ here start to talk about it then theres potentially a slight chance. But I can't see it atm

Cavani was a mancini target imo, falcao is pelle's man and if e does end up here then i cant see anything stoping the domination of Aguero + Falcao.

The issue is not whether Falcao is worth 54 million because he absolutely isn't. It is what will it take to be in with a shout to secure his signature - 54 million is the current price.

But if Carlos and edin go then the £54m would be a piece off piss? And the wages as between Carlos and edin there must be £350,000 a week?

-- Sun May 19, 2013 12:19 pm --

But if Carlos and edin go then the £54m would be a piece off piss? I would agree with that, going on a fellow blue supporter who posted on here a few months back after he spotted Txiki in a restaurant and managed to get him to answer on possible targets in the summer.

In regards to Falcao, Txiki replied Yes - Cavani, Txiki replied Mancini likes him.

Either of these 2 to spearhead our front line with Aguero would be a major force.

I also think we are about to witness Aguero flourish under Pellegrini's leadership

This calibre of player is an absolute must for city. No pussyfooting around like last summer which cost us the title.

Great point. I wonder if anyone can dig up that post. Maybe it reveals more again?
