Fallout 4

First ever fallout game for me. Played 10+ hours so far and all ive mainly done is explore the top left hand corner of the map and i've done a couple of missions. Love the world, its great and very immersive. Got a tad bored of exploring now though so im gonna do a few quests. One thing im wondering, if i kill random raiders (the ones with names - Tower Tom/Red/Jared etc) when im just exploring about, which I have been doing, am I accidentally shutting off future quests unknowingly?

Platinumed the game today on PS4. Settlement happiness trophy was insanely hard. Overall I loved it, slightly better than New Vegas, miles better than Fallout 3.

Fallout 4 Script Extender alpha 1 is out today. NifScope which is a body mesh exporter is in the pipeline. Nexus already has a functional Mod Manager.

Always say to people to ALWAYS buy Bethesda games on PC. The 80 hours you'll play on consoles will be quadrupled by mods on PC, and despite them saying they'll allow mods on consoles, they have walled it off so that they have to approve every mod (and of course, Script Extender isn't and won't be available for consoles which is the basis for almost eveyr major mod in Bethesda games)

im 50 hours into this game, its fucking amazing. only explored 50% of the world aswell. they have outdone themselfs since new vegas. looking forward to the DLC's already, n fuck consoles running this on ultra on my pc it looks amazing for a bethesda game

Arriving next week, birthday gift. Fallout 3 was brilliant but I never got round to New Vegas.

I'm kinda hoping it takes it's time as I've just started Metal Gear Solid!

Played about 50 hours of it and completed the main campaign. Have to say on the whole I'm quite disappointed with it. The new mass effect-esque dialogue wheel I'm not a fan of at all. The loading screens quite honestly for a 2015 game are a joke.

Take note from games like GTA V & Witcher 3. One big loading screen if you die/start a new game and that's it you can resume play and get on with it. For me it just completely killed the immersion. Read recently Bethesda used the same game engine as the one they used on 2011's Skyrim so no wonder there have been complaints about people being underwhelmed by the graphics - me personally thought it looked ok but I get where they're coming from.

Few other gripes with it lazily adding the same old re-cycled songs from NV and F3 did my absolute nut in. Glad they had the classical radio as an option as I'm not sure I could withstand listening to 'Bongo Bongo Bongo by The Andrew Sisters' for the 7000th time.

It's still a solid game but the massive hype going into it I expected much more from this sequel. No way is this coming close to winning GOTY

One resounding positive aspect though is the shooting mechanics have certainly improved!

:)

Bethesda actually didnt make New Vegas. It was made by Obsidian Entertainment.

As for PC mine plays it on ultra and not the most beautiful gane ever but for a Bethesda game it is great

The AI is terrible. Hasn't effected my enjoyment of it but it's comically shit. A psycho raider was chasing me with some dogs so I jumped on a rock and they carried on running around in circles jumping not being able to get on while I just stood there and shot them with all the time in the world. Laughably shit.
