Family guy - Simpsons - American dad - South Park

Lisa: You promised to take us to the lake.
Homer: I promise you kids lots of things. That's what make me such a good father.
Lisa: Actually, keeping promises would make you a good father.
Homer: No, Lisa, keeping promises would make me a great father.

Simpsons - Older stuff.
South Park
Fam Guy

...American Dad doesn't even come into the equation piss poor show.

South Park is the most consistent and actually gets better with age, as did King of the Hill. However, early Simpsons is still the best.

Grandma: [singing] How many roads must a man walk down before you can call him a man?
Homer: Seven!
Lisa: No, Dad, it's a rhetorical question.
Homer: Rhetorical, eh? Eight!
Lisa: Dad, do you even know what "rhetorical" means?
Homer: [incredulous] Do I know what "rhetorical" means?!

As many have said early Simpsons stuff is head and shoulders above the rest. South Park does the best social commentary, Family Guy and American Dad are awful, there are alot of far superior adult animated shows out there. Their popularity is beyond comprehension they've been pulling the same shit for years now.

Used to love the simpsons before family guy came along, now I can't satnd to watch it, the animation is just awful, and you can't blame that on age, the old bugs bunny cartoons etc look far better than any Simpsons episode.
