Keith Fielding was my PE Teacher at Marple Hall.

He played both codes at international level, representing England in rugby union, from 1969-1972, before taking to the league pitch for Great Britain and Salford.

Fastest rugby player in the world at one point

Fielding also won the television sports challenge Superstars in 1981.

He was my class tutor thingy person for 3 years, did him at the 100m every time.
He married an English teacher at bramhall and lives close to my mum.

He left marple cause he was banging a student afaik haha.
A good man who taught me about respect.

He was all over the 6th form girls as often as he could and they lapped it up, we hated him for that ;-) I left in 1980 I doubt you would have lived with him in his day at the 100m, at one point all Salford had to do was pass him the ball and a try was guaranteed, he scored a world record 46 tries in one season in the early seventies. Liked him a lot, his side kick was Keith Mckinnes who was a coach at Widnes RLFC.

You're right about him being all over the 6th form girls, mind you it was reciprocated, they loved him. He was also supposedly banging Miss Sewell the English teacher when I was there, which turned all the lads against him, she was fit. I left prematurely in Sept 75 due to expulsion.

Alan Mcinnes was a decent teacher I thought, old school, no nonsense type.

TCIB, you missed your way if you could outrun that fucker, what happened? You could've been a contender pal.

I was in the same year at secondary school as Mani.

Anthony Burgess went to my school although not in the same year. Not by a long, long way.

Oh yeah, if you look at Wiki there's also lots of other famous people who went there including Nedum and SWP.

Disappointingly there is no mention of my famous performance for the Old Boys where I scored 120 and took 5 wickets.
