'Fan' accounts slagging off our players.

If anyone thinks any player these days cares what is said about them on social media, they need their head examining.

Does this forum count?
The bed wetting and kneejerkers on here are fuckin embarrassing, and yes I know half of them aren't city fans but the one's who claim to be belong on twitter or whatever other shite social media platform.
I agree. The level of criticism on here at times is ridiculous. A friendly match last night and posters are already writing off players or criticising them

I did a search for Echeverri on Twitter today. It is hard to grasp the absolute bile directed towards so many players in the City team, and Pep, because Echeverri may, or may not, go on loan.
I notice that there are an increasing number of posters here, generally with low post counts, offering pretty extreme views on the squad. It seems we are in an age where instant gratification is the only solution, and, without it, the response is aggressive and inflammatory.

The level of criticism can be argued to be high, you are discussing/arguing with blindly deluded fans at times who can’t accept any criticism of the club too. They can be as bad, blind and blinkered as us negative lot

Are the two mutually exclusive?
To the accounts I mean yes.

Criticism of a player is normal, dickheads who have usernames ending in things like #edersonout or such which I have seen on social meadi plaltforms are normally bellends

Some of our fans are ridiculously, unnecessarily negative though.
Its the aggression I do not like, these "people" seem to think they can be as aggressive as they like whilst they are typing and there is no accountability to anything they say. I am so glad I am getting on a bit, I could not imagine being young and being part of a generation where social media is their lives.

With the rise of social media we have become a much more binary society, particularly for those brought up in the social media age. Players are great or awful, gods or demons.
All of our players have limitations (even David Silva - he was a bit shit in the air). And even our worst players have good aspects to their game. None of our players are perfect and none are terrible.
But people like to vent, people have favourites, people see no wrong in their heroes and no good in their villains.
