Criticism of a player is normal, dickheads who have usernames ending in things like #edersonout or such which I have seen on social meadi plaltforms are normally bellends

There are fucking thousands of them all over every City topic on social media n’all.

I got bored of arguing with them because once you shut one **** up, fifty more are there to be swatted. So I’ve given up with it.

It’s hard enough dealing with fans of other clubs who hate us, never mind our own ‘fans’ who hate us.

I’ll maintain that you simply cannot be a proper fan of any club if you aren’t part of the culture of its core fanbase, and you only get that by attending games. You cannot experience a fanbase’s culture if you aren’t physically part of it therefore they can never understand what it is to be a real fan.

But there are even ‘supporters’ who are part of the core fanbase who come out with this shit n’all. Remember that squidgy headed **** after the Madrid away game who said Pep needs to fuck off and Bernardo Silva needs killing? I’ve saved up an upper-cut for that **** if I ever see him.

The bloke behind the Mark Goldbridge character is an obvious example.

I don’t follow any football related content on social media or YouTube. For City content I listen to 93:20 and Let Me Talk podcasts and read posts on here and that’s about it.

The whole social media “footy banter” thing is of no interest to me whatsoever.

Having a decent football conversation is nigh on impossible now, even on here you have the panini Fifa 2025 crew with their stats from a vague website that counts every time a player scratches their nose.
