Fan favourite 11 from your experience

Indeed mate. Also your point in life to. I went regularly from 84/89 but getting promoted when I was 13 in 89 and buying players like Clive Allen/Niall Quinn will always be special. Roll on to my twenties, money in my pocket, going to away matches the likes of Kinkladze, Morrisson, Weaver, Horlock, Goater. Tough times but the happiest of times and a period in life you generally think back to fondly.

Completely forgot about Rosler and Paul Walsh for that matter.
Yep. Apart from their attitude and approach it’s like choosing favourite songs, hard to separate from time and place. So earliest ones for me Trevor Francis & Alex Williams, but it wasn’t till about 86 when it really kicked in, hence my first picks. Randomly Vonk and Bosvelt, now I’ve been thinking about it and the reasons more.

Latterly Hart, Dzeko, Balotelli, Lescott, Zinchenko and I reckon Ake, Dias, Bernardo and Grealish will be in the squad. In other words I can’t really narrow it down to 11. Sounds soft, but I just love the club.

Great shout for Weaver, Quinn, Paul Walsh and Clive Allen. Would add Redmond to that as well.

Thinking outside the box for a few of these....

Coton

Zabba
Vinny
Morrison

SWP
Horlock
Merlin
Benarbia
Weikens

Aguero
The Goat

Also - Terry Cooke, kinky, uwe, Walsh, curle, tiatto, sun jihai, dunne

Vonk and Redmond resonate with me from growing up.

Circa 1992/94 I was at Liverpool
Away, feeling a bit on edge walking past one of their stands and Michel Vonk walks past with a City polo neck on. He was even more imposing in real life.

Steve Redmond childhood memories of my dad making me leave the ground when trailing 1-0 to Oxford only to hear two roars while walking back to the car on Letchworth Street with the second being Steve Redmond bundling home the winner. Hate leaving early ever since.

Yes mate I know what you mean. Tough to name just an 11.

Bert.
Zabaleta. Watson. Kompany. Mike Doyle.
Benarbia. David Silva.
Summerbee. Bell.
Bobby Johnstone. Aguero.

Warriors & artists XI.
I’m just too young for Bert. I’d have Joe in goal.(Corrigan)
I’d probably swap Johnstone for Fern and go 4-3-3 with that.

Always found Anelka divided opinion in terms of his attitude. His goals kept us up in that first season but I struggled to warm to him as a person.
