Fan Perceptions of Commercialisation in Football: A Case Study of Manchester City FC

Done, a very thought provoking survey. I couldn’t really give an opinion on the last question, although I did try. :-)

@Ric did you do your dissertation at Primary School then? A child prodigy no less!

Thank-you very much Eccles! Much appreciated. And not a problem, there were many that didn't really have an opinion with the final question or fan-ownership just didn't really bother them as much so just left it blank or said no comment, which is absolutely fine :-)

Done, good survey. Would also work if you were doing a psychology degree with some of those questions, a lot is down to the emotional attachment of fans and why its hard to compare to other areas of business. It’s such a unique area.

Done. I live in the States these days but am a lifelong blue (ex Platt Lane and Kippax season ticket holder) and just have to say I hate the rags. How about a survey on why the rags are the most hated club?

Done. Enjoyed it, made me think about the relevance of me as a fan and my financial contribution. Still think £4 for a pie is shocking and the trams are crap!

Thanks melton! Indeed - it's for the honours for Business and Management, but really tried to ask the questions I would want to see as a City fan and the responses have been fantastic! Thought City were the perfect example to choose in terms of fan connection to the club and whether it has been impacted with the so called 'modern game'!

Thank you very much sandie! Haha, ditto. Maybe I can make that my next call if I ever move onto a postgraduate! But for now, hopefully will be educating the next generation of students as a secondary school business studies teacher! Been offered the role, just need to pass my QTS tests now :-)

Thank you Blue! Really glad to hear your feedback. And you're not the only one who thinks that on the pie front I can assure you!!!!

Just done it. One comment I have, there seems to be an emphasis on foreign money/investment in the last couple of questions almost as though this is wrong. This seemed a litle bizarre. Anyone could buy our club British or foreign but if the business strategy is wrong we would be going nowhere as seen by many other clubs, Blackburn being the best example. The fact that we are succesful has nothing to do with the fact that our owners are foreign but it has everything to do with how our owners are implementing a business strategy.

Anyway good luck.
