This thread was bound stir things up , its each to their own as far as im concerned , personally i was in a suicidal trance when i vacated my seat on 90mins , fuckin laps of honour was the last thing on my mind , i was distraught !! , but hey ..... we won , everybodys happy .. aren't they ?

My turn to say 'exactly'.

There was really no comparison to anything any other club have done in my view - the season, and the way it played out, was unprecedented. As were the circumstances of our club and the journey it's been on. And that we've been on with it. You can look at it another way, some people aren't as passionate as others and thus are as affected, some will leave, or stay, because they never were that passionate to begin with and can take the good times and the bad etc etc etc. There'll be many reasons.

I've haven't posted here so much since joining years ago; what's put me off in the past is the amount of penis measurement postering that goes on to see who is the greatest worshipper of our club. To those with the strong opinions though, if it came down to it, I think you'd find my size and girth acceptable.
Spot on mate .... i wish i could foresee my actions at crucial City games , at Wembley vs Stoke , having not won a trophy for 35yrs , the magnitude of the game got to me after Yaya scored , i couldn't watch the last 10 mins , so it was the concourse again for me ! . then beating Scum 1-0 , i think i spent the last 20 mins bob hat pulled over my head , staring at the floor !, does this mean im ' plastic ' ?

maybe not a plastic but more of "get a fuckin grip" your team needs you, they need all of us, we all waited 35 years ffs.

I left early. Then I climbed back in. ;-) (Indiana Jones style)

Saying that, I stayed against Gillingham at Wembley while hundreds left.

I also stayed at York when we lost 2-1 and we were at our lowest point in the old 3rd divison.

Etc.

Nobody is immune to moments of despair that they can't handle. Everyone has ways of dealing with it. On that day the despair was too much for me to handle. I walked.(hands up)

To those who stayed. Credit to you all. That moment when Sergio scored will live with you all forever. I will never have that privilage.

I wasn't saying you hadn't waited 35yrs , i was making the point that everyone's different , ffs

There would have been no way i would have stayed to clap the players on a lap of honour if we didn't win.

After jumpimg through the hoops I did to get a ticket for the game, I wasn't going to leave early. I'll be honest though; I felt like it going into injury time. That awful feeling deep in the pit of your stomach, and the overwhelming sense of desolation. Never felt anything like it at a football match. The last time I had felt it was 2 and 12 years ago when my parents passed away. By fuck, I'm glad I stuck it to the end now! I didn't think you could have such a swing in emotions at a football match, in 126 seconds!

i know, well next season be as different as us and stay in your seat, clap the lads till the end and if we feel shit cos we lost the title on the last day imagine how they would be feeling. sing your hearts out for the lads.

btw i can't believe why anyone would leave early in any game but they must have their reasons but for the last home game extra extra effort is reqd, win or lose.

Because some guys are different Bill.

Some who go to the game see it as an afternoon pursuit and do not see the huge connection between behaviour in the stands and on the pitch. They think that leaving early doesn't mater because the guys will cope either way. It's selfishness over the Blitz spirit and it's fucking up the country, let alone the stadium.
