Fans that have been supporting City for 30+ years!!!!

Well anyone that has been watching since the early 70s would know that our 2 big wins would be huddersfield 10-1 at maine rd+the chelsea battering 6-2 at maine rd in 1977.
We got stick fer havin 28 k fer stoke last week-im sorry but the blame for this lies squarely at the feet of liverpool football club & the F.A..they stop people from being able to go 2 games.
In the 70s you could be in the pub & go to a game off the cuff-now you need this card that card pass thru 21 police bleedin cordons-frankly people cant be arsed no more its too much like hard work-no more opportunist fans can watch any game.
As for worst football these people arent city fans-or they have ONLY seen city on sky sports where we had a shitty record of like 50 games & won only 3.(b4 this season)
add too this the OBVIOUS BIASED PRESS- bacon face took over at the idiot school in 1986 from dave sexton-HE WON FUCK ALL FER 4 YEARS+then +only then did he scrape the f.a cup bu the skin of his whiskey soaked teef!
We have had barely 20 games & a longer than usual cup run(given our money is no use for 6 months of the year thanks to?? the f.a & bleedin europe!
Liverpool ruined europe-they then set about killin the kippax & then the entire league.
fact is a doncaster rovers fan is a rovers fan thru good & bad & i couldnt give a shit who says what-WE ARE THE BEST TEAM IN THE WORLD & IN 5 YEARS TIME WE WILL BE WHERE THE RETARDS ARE NOW-ANYONE WHO DOUBTS THIS SIMPLY DOESNT BELIEVE+BELIEF IS HALF THE BATTLE-you have to hand it 2 the stoke fans ,they are fuckin ace at home they make that shitbox rumble with noise-even tho we won 1-1 (pmsl) i dont see us goin thru nex week on our 2 previous games....but i would still be a city fan if we lost 10 nil!
why dont all these moaners go 2 the games? at least it would be some noise eh?...

As an older head of 42 i have to say in all honesty that supporting manchester city has been a life changing experience.Being a fan of this great football club is not and has not been the easiest or more pleasureable experience at times,in fact the one consistance as been the inconsistancies of OUR club in my time as a city fan.The one thing that has always drawn me back time and again over the years has been our great support, which as most will be aware is being questioned on this site for their lack of support and passion on a match day.I for one do not like the set out in our stadium, but it wasnt that good after the changes with the kippax at main road but what did we do we adapted to the north stand.Anyway i like many others have seen some poor poor teams down the years but beleive me this is not one of them and with our backing on sunday and im talking NORTH STAND,EAST STAND,MAIN STAND,SOUTH STAND ALL OF US AS ONE as it should be SING YOUR HEARTS OUT FOR THE LADS.CITY TILL I DIE

First game 76 born 71 worst game spurs fa cup
Best game I just joined the RAF at 16 on basic training and the lad next to me was from Huddersfield and we had a bet on the game of a weeks wages.
10-1
Best day of my life taking the money off him.

And there is me having a rant in another thread.

I LOVE CITY!

I've been going 40 odd years & I've seen worse football than this many many many times but hardly ever from sides that were hoping to be near the top of the league.

Any City teams that I've ever seen which have had designs on cups or europe have always been pretty entertaining teams. The only teams as negative as this are the ones who were fighting relegation.

We played some negative stuff when Kendall took over, sweeper systems grindin out 0-0's etc to get us out of a poss relegation battle, within 12 months we were in the top 5 under Reidy by playing long ball stuff to Quinny's head... not attractive but we were up there..

Horton had us playin some great stuff, with Beagrie, Walsh, Uwe etc but we still went on a bit of a decline.
And we were quite entertaining to watch during Kinky's era but look where we ended up..!!

Wembley day outs with Blues are so special, I was there in 69, 76 (Denis Tueart - king of all Geordies!) 81 (replay only as i was playing on the Saturday!) and of course the memorable Play-off win on Sunday May 30th 1999......that was our most defining moment in our history …in my opinion! Hell.............I have seen us score 16 goals at home in just 4 days!

Conversely i have seen us lose at Halifax (tragic!) Wycombe (who amazingly did the double against us in 98/99 !!) York ( Possibly my personal lowest ebb!!) Lincoln, and Mansfield at home in the Auto-Windscreens Cup, in front of just 3,007 fans !!

We are unique, we are special, we are irresistible at best, shocking at worse, we are followed by some of the most and humorous loyal supporters in the whole world............Yes, we are CITY....super City.......we are City.......from Maine Road (Always our spiritual home!!)

Following City since the late 60'sPearce 's team was worse I think the frustration and pressure are building, the players minds are not free, which is making them 2nd to the ball, if we break free of Pool then the football will flow, having said that it is a massive IF
